Stomp by Ralf (Fairmagic) Rudolph

Let someone choose a card, and then put the card back in the deck. The spectator himself can shuffle the cards, and then lay them on the ground, face down. You now claim to find the card, without your hands touching them. Now you step on the cards on the floor, and show the spectator a card, which is underneath your shoe. But It is not the card the spectator has chosen. But no problem. You step a second time on the floor, lift up your shoe, and now the card has turned into the one, chosen by the spectator!

Devin Knight & Ulysses Frederick Grant
The Milky Way by Devin Knight & Ulysses Frederick Grant

An extremely rare and little-known U. F. Grant manuscript that is nearly impossible to find nowadays. Devin Knight has taken the original text, revised it and updated it with various annotations for today's performers. He explains and deals with issues that Grant failed to mention in the original release.

This e-book teaches you three great U. F. Grant tricks with a glass of milk! The methods are typical of Grant's thinking.

1-Here & There: A homing milk effect. Show a glass of real milk, cover it with a paper tube. Pour the milk back into a pitcher. When the tube is removed, the glass...

Lewis Ganson
Le Tour Du Fil Hindou by Lewis Ganson

A couple of people are invited to participate in a trick - any 4 of a kind gets chosen, one of the 4 cards is then given to Participant no. 1 by Participant no. 2. Participant 1 who has no knowledge of the card in his hand correctly deduces the suit and then the value of the card.

  • This needs a table or a working surface.
  • A fact (stated twice in the patter), a phrase and the casualness of the performer's is what makes this possible.

Raphaël Czaja
Untraceable by Raphaël Czaja

The descriptions below are purposely very detailed so you have an accurate transcription of what is seen by the spectator. Note that he can genuinely shuffle the deck as he wants (overhand, riffle, hindu, etc). No sleight or secret move from the magician. No marking system. No gaff or any hidden gimmick. Only use a regular deck.

EFFECT #1: While shuffling a deck of cards, you proclaim to have a sixth sense that enables you to feel things around you without the need for seeing, hearing or touching them; like detecting pulse beats from a close distance. To prove it, you invite a spectator to...

Ralf (Fairmagic) Rudolph
Golf Ball in Glass by Ralf (Fairmagic) Rudolph

[Note: An improved method has been released by Jerry Clowin in his New Way Golf Ball in Glass.

You will learn the secret of how to get a golf ball inside a glass with an opening smaller than the golf ball, without harming either the glass or the ball. Ralf Rudolph is a master of the impossible object. He describes his method of how to make such an object. Once you know how it is done you can make as many presents as you wish. No special tools are necessary. No chemicals are used. With a bit of preparation and the know how you can make something cool.

[Note that the specific German brand of glass Ralf recommends has changed its dimensions and thus it can't be used anymore. The method itself is still valid, but you will have to experiment and search yourself for a suitable glass. Or use the improved method referenced above, which does not depend as much on the glass dimensions as this method does.]

1st edition 2016, 2 pages.

Watch how Nathan Coe Marsh incorporates this impossible bottle into a really nice effect.

Visions of Tomorrow by Robert A. Nelson

In this eBook, Bob Nelson reveals his complete "Diviner of Destiny" one-man Question-and-Answer presentation. This is a very, very clever and subtle mindreading act that can be performed solo, or with a volunteer assistant (who need not know the secret).

Can be presented anywhere -- even surrounded by an audience if necessary. Especially suitable for tough situations such as for stores, clubs and outdoor work. Exceptionally fine for stage, platform and cruise shows.

Details to be long remembered: The questions are picked from a semi-opaque basket and held at the performer's fingertips,...

Chandra Mind Reading Act by James S. Harto

James Harto successfully performed this two-person-code mind-reading act together with his wife Catherina Wren for many years.

From the introduction:

Perhaps the most entertaining part of this branch of mystification is where the operator in some mysterious manner conveys to the assistant on the stage a question that has been whispered in the operator's ear by a person in the audience and the assistant on the stage gives some kind of an answer that satisfies the spectator, that the assistant actually received the substance of the question that was whispered by him or her.
