Arthur Buckley, one of the great sleight-of-hand artists with cards and coins, has written a series of twelve problems. This booklet is number one. It is illustrated by Harlan Tarbell and edited by Gus Moford. Dariel Fitzkee later reprinted these twelve problems in The Card Expert Entertains but used different inferior illustrations. If you have ever heard something about the 'Buckley card problems' this is one of them.

Thurston explains fundamental sleights such as the Pass, Palm, Force, Change, Back-Palm and his system of expert card manipulation, which appeared for the first time in this book. It also describes a unique gimmick to make the Back-Palm almost effortless.

Thurston also lays claim to what we today call the Si Stebbins stack. He writes that it is his invention but he also thanks Si for his contributions and help.

This is the epitome of Karson's comedic talent. Other than "Zombie" this trick is often the only other thing remembered about Joe Karson. When he published this effect, Karson was riding the crest of his wave of popularity. The World's Fastest Card Trick was often a show stopper when he performed it at various magic conventions and shows.

Karson explains in this ebook the entire work on this trick. He gives the reader the presentation, the method, the patter, and most importantly, the timing. This trick literally got screams of laughter.

A wonderful self-working rendition of the classic "Out Of This World" effect. This was the first real card trick I saw - and I was baffled.

A borrowed deck is shuffled. A red and a black card are placed face up on the table. The performer then removes cards, one at a time from the deck. Without the spectator seeing the faces of these cards, he indicates whether he thinks a card is a red or a black. If he thinks it is a red card, the performer places it, face down, on the face up red card. If the spectator thinks it is a black card, the performer places it face down on the face up black card....

This is a move that comes originally from gambling. It is hard to do well, but Allan gives you a number of valuable tips.

AB stands for Ackerman-Barnhard. It is a way to palm the bottom cards from an overhand shuffle.

And Allan also let's you in on Eddies 'Nickle Color Change' where a nickle is placed on the face up deck. Nevertheless the card changes instantly leaving the nickle on the deck. This one is guaranteed to fool magicians.

The strike second is the most basic and also the easiest of the second deal variations.

The best way to practice your false deals is to do it in front of spectators. However, until you have mastered the deal you can't really use it. Allan shows you how you can practice dealing while performing for the public.

The strike bottom deal is less versatile and needs a lot of practice to get right. It can be performed from an Erdnase grip or a standard mechanics grip.

The center deal is a tough move. This strike center deal is probably one of the easier ways to achieve a center deal. Using this deal Allan teaches a center deal demonstration where you only need to deal one card from the center and the rest comes from the top - making it a lot easier to perform.

The push-off-center deal is quite a bit harder to do than the strike-center deal, but it is also more versatile. Allan executes it flawlessly.

Here you will learn a couple of ways to cut cards to the top or bottom. Allan also demonstrates the Kick Count which is used to change the break from under the card you want to control to above the card.
