Jon Racherbaumer
Processean Princess by Jon Racherbaumer

Henry Hardin's plot has been around for 107 years and his initial three methods are explained in The Art of Magic (1909). Card tricks of this kind were atypical when Hardin devised his trick. During his time, spectators physically picked cards. They seldom, if ever, mentally selected them. Because only five cards are used in "The Princess Card Trick," Hardin strengthened the challenge by finding the mental selection by tactile means while the five "possibilities" were in his pocket.

This is how the his trick appeared to audiences: Five cards are shown to a spectator who is asked to think of one of them....

Sub Rosa 14 by Werner Miller

The highlight in this collection of sleight-less magic, is the Point Reflections principle, which is a new mathematical principle Werner Miller has introduced to magic. So far nobody has made use of it, except Miller. This ebook will likely change that. This principle opens new doors for new ideas, a fertile ground for trick creators. Miller's point reflection routines come with beautiful print templates. You can go from printing to performing in literally seconds. You will also get some bonus ideas by Chris Wasshuber.

Unknown Mentalist
Cards Across on Voice Call by Unknown Mentalist

You and the participant are on both ends of a voice call. Using an imaginary deck of playing cards, the participant 'churns her thoughts' multiple times and finally sends across a few cards from her mind to your mind. You 'receive' those cards perfectly and reveal them to her in a stunning manner. This, in essence, is the effect.

You can perform this over a video call or virtual show apart from face to face performances. And this works in any language. Two versions of the routine are explained.

PSYCHIC VERSION which is totally propless (except for a piece of paper used by the participant...

Satish B
Factory Seconds by Satish B

This is a fun card trick with multiple climaxes. It starts off as a 4-Ace production trick, then it goes wrong as 4 random cards are produced instead of the 4 Aces. Next, these random cards are shown to be predicted on the magician's Facebook page. Not to be outdone, the magician also produces the mates of the 4 random cards. At last, the magician produces the 4 Aces. Of course, the best part is that the deck is face-down almost the entire time and it is handled by the spectator.

Unknown Mentalist
Thot Card Xchange by Unknown Mentalist

The effect as seen by the audience: The performer displays a red-backed deck and a blue-backed deck. Two participants each choose a deck freely. Then both participants mentally think of a different playing card each. They need not announce which card they are thinking of. Surprisingly, when each participant deals down their respective deck, they find their thought of card missing from that deck. As a kicker twist, each participant's thought of card is found in the other participant's deck.

Another effect as seen by the audience: The performer displays a red-backed deck and a blue-backed...

Renzo Grosso
Travel Notes: moves, shuffles and math by Renzo Grosso

The effects of "remote" mentalism (with the performer blindfolded, in another room, or, even, on the phone, with only the audio connection) generally use mathematical principles. Often, with a little pack of cards (or billets) real miracles can be performed: if the cards are to be shuffled by the spectator, it is necessary that the shuffle appears as random as possible, even if it must necessarily be a mathematical one.

With this publication I have addressed some well-known moves, used in different ways, alone or in conjunction with other shuffles or other principles; once the principle...

Renzo Grosso
Chemistry Lessons: oil, water, moves and math? by Renzo Grosso

Water and oil is an effect that has always fascinated me, but the principle is so simple that I think it is impossible to invent something more effective; moreover, the effect requires a secret manipulation that is impossible to replicate, if everything is expected to be done in the hands of the spectator, "on the other end of the line" (of the telephone).

I, therefore, followed a different path: to try to replicate, in the spectator, the amazement of finding the separated cards, when they were arranged alternately by his hands, in front of his eyes.

Also in this publication I propose,...

Renzo Grosso
Spelling: Letters or Numbers? by Renzo Grosso

I saw the first spelling effects a long time ago, studying Aldo Colombini's DVDs; they were in English and I gave up almost immediately, due to the great difference in seed letters and numbers: from diamonds to diamonds there was an ocean. I saw, I appreciated them ... and then I gave up. Some time later, trying and trying again, a light bulb came on: I thought I had invented my spelling in Italian; beautiful exceptional. Later I discovered that I had not really invented anything, there were dozens and hundreds of similar and ... almost the same. Then, continuing to study the great masters, I began to collect...

Remote Close Up 18: Abbott's Ten Principle by Renzo Grosso

THE ABBOTT'S TEN PRINCIPLE: The principle, generally called Abbott's Ten by the Americans, actually dates back to an Italian manuscript about five hundred years ago (Mariano Tomatis - Messmer in pills - La Lollins and the magic of the sixteenth century - Episode 206).

This publication first describes the standard 10-card routine; I then analyzed the possibility of doing it with a different number of cards, even with tarot cards, and I studied the possibility of doing it in all conditions: in close up, on stage (two versions, one with billets and the other with the Tarot) and even on the...

Liam Montier
Henry Sugar by Liam Montier

"Henry Sugar is an incredibly clever effect and one that I will actually perform. I don't say that for many effects. As far as I'm concerned, Liam Montier is one of the most original magicians I've ever met and he is my main inspiration to create new magic. Pretty much everything he touches has a big hint of creativity and an even bigger hint of "I'll kick you where it hurts!" - Andi Gladwin

Liam Montier presents a stunning easy to do mentalist card trick based on a well-known short story by Roald Dahl, called "The Wonderful World of Henry Sugar".

The basic plot of the story is that...

The Red Prediction by Bob Farmer

In August of 1963, Dai Vernon took a twenty-hour bus trip from Los Angeles to Dallas, Texas, to deliver a lecture at the Statler Hilton Hotel.

On the way there, Vernon created an amazing effect, an effect that is relatively unknown, even today. Shortly thereafter, Vernon advertised the trick for sale.

From the fertile brain of Mr. Dai Vernon comes a MENTAL STUNNER! Here are the facts. Imagine this effect and the IMPACT ON THE AUDIENCE!

The performer displays several cards face up and deals them in a random manner on the table top, some face up, some face down. NOW he gives a spectator an...

What if I told you that there was an amazing card trick hidden in plain sight ... printed on the box of your favourite deck of cards? By spelling the words found on a Tally-Ho card box in an order determined by the spectator, you are able to produce the four Nines - matching the "No. 9" printed on the box.

In this ebook, I will be teaching Roy Walton's variation of "Tally-Ho!" (permission granted by Roy Walton), along with my presentation for the trick. I will then present to you methods to perform this simple and self-working...

Mark Leveridge
Pure Cards Across by Mark Leveridge

Two sets of 10 cards are counted out fairly and openly onto a spectator's hand before being dropped into two glass tumblers where they can be clearly seen. One at a time three cards are invisibly moved from one glass to the other, and when the piles are counted back onto the spectator's hand again, the first glass only contains 7 cards and the other 13.

This is the classic cards across effect using a method that is completely move and sleight free. Everything happens at fingertips and there is no palming required, nor any special counts. Designed for a close-up or intimate parlour show,...

There is no palming of cards or exchanging of decks or anything like it. You work with 16 cards and 16 cards only without any sleight-of-hand.
