The Effect: The magi weaves a story of smuggling Pesos across the Mexican border. Then demonstrates by placing a signed Peso in one hand and an empty (just examined) film canister in the other hand. The Story: ... Can't ... breathe ... feeling ... pain ... must ... survive ... The biggest mistake ever made in the land of Bicycle was the day that the Heart family sent the Jacks after the Joker. The Effect: The magi removes his house key from his key chain and entrusts the spectator with the remainder of his keys. The magus then promptly causes the house key to vanish and reappear on the key ring in the spectator's hand. Sleeves up, no holding out, completely clean vanish. Watch the Demo. This was another big hit of Jeff's on Underground Jam. The particular vanish (a Richard Ross idea) used for the key is the big killer that really inspired a lot of magicians. You don't want to miss this one!

In the spring of 2005 Jay Sankey sent out a world-wide request for audition videos featuring original material from unknown magicians. In response, performers from more than a dozen countries submitted more than 200 tapes and dvds! From this mountain of submissions Jay and his team unanimously selected Joe Diamond, Eric Leclerc and Jeff Stone.

Many years ago Harry Anderson taught this effect to John Cornelius. Now John is teaching it to you. Two pieces of ropes are knotted together. Surprisingly the knot can be slid up and down completely fairly. And finally you open the knot and you have again two pieces of rope.

This effect was created by Dai Vernon and was published in Rufus Steele's book The Last Word on Cards.

The deck is shuffled by a spectator. The magician removes a prediction card from the deck and places it face down on the table. The spectator creates two piles. The top card of one is turned face up. The value of that card is used to count to a card in the other pile. The card counted to is the mate of the prediction.

This time Ralf teaches you how to make impossible looking cards. With a few simple cuts and folds you can make beautiful objects which you can hand out as presents or keep for yourself. A spectator-selected card turns face-up in the deck.

Have a spectator freely select a card from a deck. There is no force. The spectator remembers the card. The magician inserts the card into the deck. When the deck is fanned the card has turned face-up (or face-down if you are showing the deck from faces.)

You will need to be able to do a half-pass. A short card helps in the sleight-of-hand proceedings.

Phones are now very personal items. Long time ago in order to perform an effect with pictures; you would have to carry the pictures with you. But now people carry pictures with them all the time. Million of pictures! Using your spectator's phone and his Instagram account the effect goes like this:

Your spectator freely selects any category of pictures. He searches for this category himself; then your spectator selects any picture he wants. This picture could have been uploaded by anybody in the whole world. Yet you read your spectator's mind and accurately find the username that uploaded that...

Duplex is a card rising effect from the mind of Kevin Schaller. It builds and improves on an old theme which allows you to show the box from all sides as well as allows you to show the box completely empty before you insert the deck.

A freely chosen and signed card is lost into the deck and the deck is put back into the box. Without any funny moves the signed card starts to rise all the way out of the box.

The best part of the trick is that there are no threads, wires, weights, rubber bands or magnets - just the box and the deck. No forcing. No cellophane needed. Box can be shown empty...
