The most successful effect of this kind was Dan Harlan's CardToon where a deck of cards doubled as a flip book. Riffling through the cards one would see a cartoon magician drawn on the backs find and reveal a chosen card. This effect was a huge success, potentially it was the most successful magic trick of all times (my guess, I don't really know).

Totally Impossible is a really strong effect with a very intriguing and fascinating method. The magician is able to cut with a knife to the card selected by a spectator. Simply and totally unbelievable. Obviously a magician fooler, as in the style of Joseph B. One of the most impossible divinations, one of the most dramatic localizations to add to your repertoire. You can do this with a borrowed shuffled deck. The Deck does not have to be complete.

As he shuffles a deck of playing cards, the magician talks about how cards and numbers have been used for centuries to predict the future and how it translates into his art. He writes down two predictions on the face of a random card and tables it face down. He grabs the deck and deals the cards two by two — top and bottom card together. At the stop of the spectator, he removes and tables the two selections.

Get ready for six new new mental magic effects from the fertile and slightly deranged mind of Cameron Francis. All of these effects are well within the range of most magicians. No knuckle-busting sleights. No gaffs or gimmicks. All of the tricks use a normal deck.

Effects:

B'WAVY GRAVY - The spectator takes five cards from a shuffled deck, shuffles them, and then discards all but one. The magician instantly knows which card was selected.

CREATION - A card is "created" by a spectator. The magician reveals the card...

The two Jokers are removed from the deck. Two cards are then selected. One by one the selections are placed between the Jokers and are then stretched to twice their length.

Now, both cards are placed between the Jokers after which they fuse into one examinable two-faced card that can be given to the spectator as a keepsake.

Finally the other cards are tossed onto the table and are seen to have become totally blank!

A spectator chooses a card that magically moves to a phone, leaving the spectator holding a blank card. The transfer is reversed and the card vanishes from the phone and the spectator is again holding his card.

You will need an App called MxPlayer to accomplish this plus a bit of sleight of hand. Several short MP4 files, to create the appearance and vanish of a card face from the phone's screen, are included in the download.

This is a 'cards through case' effect, but completely different than older versions. This effect takes a classic stage illusion and puts it in the spectator's hands.

Four random cards are selected by the spectator. The four cards are placed inside a card case and given to the spectator to hold at their fingertips.

Three of the four cards are removed, leaving the final card inside of the card case. The remaining three cards are then pushed through the side of the card case and the selected card.

This can be viewed from all angles whilst the spectator is holding the case.

Trauma is a blank card effect with a crazy, twist...

The performer calls attention to three face-down envelopes that are on a table in full view. He says these contain three predictions. The performer then has a playing card freely selected and signed while he looks away; there is no force of any kind. The selected card is then lost in the deck. The deck is given to the participant, who cuts the deck at random and deals three cards face down onto the table. The performer then shows three more envelopes. He places the three dealt cards into these three envelopes, without looking at them. Neither the performer nor the participant knows the identity...

Created by Zaw Shinn and taught by Mario Tarasini. This visual ink moving effect is easy to do and it looks just like CGI. No fancy or fragile set up is required and the material to make the gimmick can easily be found. Trick Tac is an effect where you balance a Tic tac box in an impossible way on your finger. It is very easy to do and once you made the gimmick it lasts you for a long time.

A four card monte effect - a queen and three aces. Cards magically turn face up and down, and the queen vanishes. For the climax one card is removed, the queen reappears and suddenly two cards change completely into new cards and the queens back is now red.

A card is freely selected from a truly shuffled deck. Through the process of mixing face-up and face-down cards you find the selection and the deck straightens out with all cards face-down. (Also part of Move Mastery 3.)

Cameron Francis brings you a twisted packet trick that will blow your spectators away.

Effect: The magician displays a packet of six Jokers and asks the spectators if they have ever heard of marked cards. Assuming they reply in the affirmative, the magician continues, "Well, most people don't know how to really mark cards. Especially in a subtle fashion. But I do. And I'll show you right now using this packet of jokers." Noticing two blue backed jokers in the packet, the magician sets them aside, claiming they are "troublemakers". The other four Jokers are shown to have normal red backs....

Make two cigarettes from one.

Magically and visually the filter of a cigarette splits into two. Tear the cigarette at the location of the new second filter and you now have two smaller cigarettes each with a filter. Hand one half out to share your cigarette.
