An unusual magical murder game. All the necessary cards are enclosed in the PDF and you can immediately print them and perform the trick.
An unusual and exciting effect for your mental act or magic show. It has much audience participation. Each of three spectators, invited up, plays a part in the enactment of an 'Orrible Murder, one being the body, one the witness and one the murderer. Each "chooses a weapon" - printed on large cards. (But you could use real articles: rope, dagger, gun, poison bottle, hammer). Cards or weapons are hidden. While this is afoot you have your back turned or...
Sixteen beautiful routines, moves, and effects that, like the title says, will earn you plenty of audience applause. Most of the audience-pleasing routines use props that you likely already own, such as a Vanishing Cane, Comedy Funnel, Liquid Appear, silks, rope, magic wand, and other standard items.
Plus, Mardo tips a trio of coin effects that use standard coins and a modicum of sleights to accomplish the magic. And a swell card flourish that was later featured in the movie "The Sting," starring Paul Newman and Robert Redford.

From the preface:
Self-working magic, if you won't hold the pun against me, is a tricky thing.
Some will tell you, as I will, that there is no such thing as truly self-working magic. That is true. Every trick, regardless of method, requires a presentation, a character, a flow of action to become more than a trick, to become an effect. With the proper method, it may become an effect worth doing. But in the beginning, it's just a trick.
And tricks, well, tricks can truly be self-working.
But do we really need another book of self-working tricks? Hasn't all the good stuff been done...
Someone once commented that "If you want to hide a magic secret, put it in a book or magazine!" There is probably some truth to that statement, as there is "buried treasure" on each and every page of this work. Tricks, ideas, gags, presentations, suggestions and routines from a full complement of magical authors. Bag-O-Trix is a collection. It contains the complete texts of many books previously issued separately. Some of these volumes are (and have been) out of print. Some others are in short supply. None will be reprinted as a separate item again. This massive ebook will be the only source...
A wonderful ebook on the magic of Roy Baker, inventor of the PATEO force.
Baker was a funny and versatile performer who performed and contributed unique routines from mentalism to cards, from stage and parlor to close-up, including a hypnosis show.

From the Foreword:
What started out as a few lecture notes seem to have reached the size of a small book. I hope that the reader will find something to stir his or her imagination. Do try out some of the effects. All are practical and have been tried out. Most have been in constant use. The coin routine and the dice routine for instance. I must have performed both of these many thousands of times.
Routines with the Howard Adams' Ramasee Principle - a self-working method.
Crambazzled: A condition of complete bafflement caused by excessive magical experiences.
- The Bammo Dictionary of Silly Words
The Bammo Crambazzled Dossier is a deep-dive examination of a very strange and magical principle. You will fool yourself and, of course, everyone else. It works automatically, maybe even automagically. How it works may not be capable of an explanation from this world, but Bob Farmer does offer his ideas and those of many others.
The routines involve magic words, runes, Tarot cards, antique keys,...

I worked as a "Magic Bartender" for several years, tricks have to be simple, entertaining, and ideally employ common objects. Occasionally I'd sit at a customers table which gave me the opportunity to perform 'The Glass Through the Table' and my 'Hat Load'. Slydini taught me the 'Glass Trick'. He uses sound to control the perception of the spectator, The Hat Load begins with a coin trick based upon Don Alan's Hat Load but my mechanics for loading the hat are based upon Slydini's System of movement. My Copper and Silver Transposition employs a slightly modified version of John...
Michael Wild has teamed up with another hard core bar magician, Todd Diamond, to share with you their knowledge and great effects for the bar/pub venue. If you read Bar Magician it will become obvious that these two gentlemen have done magic in bars for quite some time. They explain their thinking and reveal some of their best effects. A bar can be a tough and sometimes rude place. Todd and Michael included one effect that matches this environment: "Two Cigarettes Having Sex". Be warned that this presentation may offend you. You might not want to do this for your in-laws next to the Christmas...

This is a neat little collection of bar tricks, stunts and simple magic effects. Some of it will be familiar to you, some have a new twist or plot and others might be completely new to you. Julian added photos to make it very easy to present these on your next visit to your favorite bar or restaurant. It is a good idea to have a few of these stunts ready when you are not prepared to do a full magic show, but still want to be the center of attention.

Between 2009 and 2011 a very special column appeared in M-U-M, the in-house magazine for the Society of American Magicians. Conceived to be an introduction to sleight of hand aimed at beginners, the thirty-six lessons ended up being one of the most detailed courses in conjuring to date. The topics covered included all aspects of magic; cards and coins, balls, ropes and cups, stand up and close up, interspersed with real-world performance hints and tips from someone who has spent time in the trenches.
This e-book version contains all thirty six Basic Training columns, plus two extra lessons...
From the introduction:
Magic lectures, and more relevantly their notes, are a strange thing. While some are an endless parade of tricks and their explanations, some are thinly disguised dealer dems and some are virtuoso displays of unattainable sleight of hand, there are occasionally lectures that offer the inside information on performing for real people. Where it's not just the tricks that matter, it's all the little bits and pieces that lie in between the lines that make the difference between 'doing a trick' and 'making magic happen'. Guess which one I'm aiming for here.
The goal is...
The magician picks up a card box as if to demonstrate a card trick and discovers that it rattles. Opening it, he tips from within four 3-volt circular batteries. Taking one of the batteries into his fist, he squeezes it and on opening the hand it is seen to have changed to a more powerful AAA battery. Holding this battery at the fingertips, the performer passes his other hand across it and causes it to visibly change to a larger AA battery.
Finally, he clasps his two empty hands together and on parting them reveals that now a square 9-volt battery has magically appeared!
No gimmicks...
