Hofzinser Switch
Allan AckermanHofzinser Ghost Card
Brick Tilley
A modern version of this classic gaffed card. Detailed are the two methods: splitting cards and printing them yourself to achieve this mysterious effect. Included is a self-printed example. This card has a matte finish that is enhanced by the candlelight used to effect the transformation. This is a remarkable illusion that takes no skill and differs greatly from Hofzinser's original construction. As seen in the video, the image seems to melt from one card value to another. Simple in construction.

Hit Double Lift
Allan AckermanHimber Happening
Ian Baxter
From Ian Baxter, a breathtaking new approach to Al Koran's classic Five Star Prediction. The effect is as straightforward as could be expected: A prediction removed from a wallet and handed to a spectator, matches a freely chosen card from a shuffled deck.
"A significant improvement with a radical new use for the Himber Wallet. Very clever thinking indeed. Perfect!" - David Jones"Loved It. Very, very clean, Loved the fact that the deck is shuffled at the outset. Cannot fault it." - Charles Gauci

High Noon
Mark Cahill
There are so many possibilities with a stacked deck, or better yet, "Impossibilities." That's because these decks look regular but what you can do with them quite casually can appear incredible. It's an old stack that's still worth its salt is, "The Si Stebbins Stack." It's sorta the granddaddy of this kind of amazing card magic. And it has a mathematical build to it that allows for a variety of other approaches as to magically finding a selected card and or knowing where or what a card is as to its position. This effect is a refreshing and fun way I found to make a bit more magic happen...
Hide and Seek
Mark Leveridge
Ambitious Card in reverse.
One of the classic card effects in magic is The Ambitious Card, and many close-up workers use one variation or another of it. I was looking for an in-the-hands card routine that I could introduce into my strolling work, and it suddenly occurred to me that maybe you could do the Ambitious Card in reverse.
Hide and Seek is the routine that I came up with and which I have been using in my commercial work ever since. Here's the plot.
A spectator selects a card, let's say it is the 3C. The minute you see the card you express concern because you explain that this...
Hidden in Plain Sight
Mago Marko
Ready-to-perform routines from a working magician's repertoire.
Hidden in Plain Sight isn't just another magic book - it's a curated collection of four battle-tested routines from Marko, a professional magician with 57 years of real-world experience. These are not theoretical curiosities or over-engineered gimmicks, but practical, powerful tricks that have fooled audiences on television, cruise ships, corporate stages, and intimate parlors across two continents. Each routine is streamlined for performance, easy to prepare, and designed to leave spectators genuinely astonished.

Hidden Gems ID: Invisible Deck Project Vol. 2
Alexander Shulyatsky
No secrets!
You know, with such an incredible trick as the "Invisible Deck", I have rarely seen a pitch in work that differs from the original "take an invisible deck and turn over the card". Yes, this performance works, but ... well, there can't be such a genius deck - a deck of one trick. And the deck has long been the property of the laymen, so you need to develop it.
In this part of the Invisible Deck Project, I have collected the best (in my opinion) options for demonstrating and upgrading IDs from the first part + here you will find two pleasant bonuses: the chapter "How to...
Hidden Agenda 2
Peter Duffie
Note that Peter Duffie released two entirely different publications with the title "Hidden Agenda". The first one was released in 1992. Then in 2001 he released an ebook with the same title but entirely different content. We have changed the title of this later ebook to "Hidden Agenda 2". It is the one offered here. For the one released in 1992, see this version of Hidden Agenda.
Peter Duffie is a master in taking a published effect, refining it, combining it with new and other old ideas and/or reducing its necessary technical difficulty. Several of the 12 effects in this ebook...

HHHH
Peter Pellikaan
Card tricks with big holes in some cards is one of Peter Pellikaan's unique themes. This is another visual effect using cards with holes.
You show four regular playing cards and a coin. When you count the cards again one card suddenly has a huge hole cut out of its center. You place this card aside and count the remaining three cards. Another card has a hole. You do this until all four cards have turned into cards with big holes cut from their center.
When you pick up these four cards with holes, they magically become whole (pun intended) again. They are restored without any holes just like...
Herrman's Tricks with Cards
Professor Hoffmann
This is a reprint of the sections dealing with card magic from Professor Hoffmann's Modern Magic. There are however six new pages (four in the front and two in the back) which are entitled "Canfield's Expose". These six pages expose scams such as 'short changing', the 'soap game', the 'spindle game', ...
Reprint is too kind a word, rip-off is more appropriate since this was an unauthorized republication of Hoffmann's material. Also interesting to note is that the correct spelling of Herrmann is with two r's and two n's, the book title however only shows one n. Probably a deliberate error to avoid legal troubles. (Information...
Here's Hockley
Allan Ackerman
Essentially this is a reverse Biddle action where the Biddle move is used as a force. This idea was developed by Ed Marlo. (If anybody knows why this is called "Here's Hockley" please email us.)

Her Majesty the Magic of Cards
Benedykt Krajdener
This work is something special, something completely unique. It is the product of a several decades long love affair of Benedykt Krajdener and the pasteboards. If you are truly in love you will sometimes do things that for an outsider appear as irrational, unbelievable, or outright insane. I am sure Benedykt is not insane, but finding and memorizing about 2700 words for every possible pair of cards from a deck of 52 might be considered irrational or perhaps unbelievable. Yes, love can do that to a grown man.
But before you assume this book is simply a list of those 2700 words, or that you...
Her Majesty Deck
Unknown Mentalist
Her Majesty Deck is named thus because in this stack the Queen is called Her Majesty for an innovative reason. This is a memorized deck that is easier to learn, remember and use than Mnemonica or Aronson stacks. Most probably, you will be able to learn this stack on the same day that you read this manuscript.
The first few cards of Her Majesty Deck are as follows: AC 3D 2D 9H 7H JS 5H KS 4H QD 6S
You can perform almost all the stack-independent memdeck material out there with this deck too.
BONUS
As a bonus, the Dictum Deck is also included. This is a cyclical stack that...
Henry Sugar
Liam Montier
"Henry Sugar is an incredibly clever effect and one that I will actually perform. I don't say that for many effects. As far as I'm concerned, Liam Montier is one of the most original magicians I've ever met and he is my main inspiration to create new magic. Pretty much everything he touches has a big hint of creativity and an even bigger hint of "I'll kick you where it hurts!" - Andi Gladwin
Liam Montier presents a stunning easy to do mentalist card trick based on a well-known short story by Roald Dahl, called "The Wonderful World of Henry Sugar".
The basic plot of the story is that...
Helicopter Card
D. Angelo Ferri
The Helicopter Card was one of Slydini's feature routines and is one of the most fascinating card routines of all time. A freely selected card mysteriously travels from the fan to the table, even though the spectator can check the cards on the table without finding his until the card invisibly flies like a helicopter to the table.
Dennis Barlotta, aka D. Angelo Ferri, studied for 8 years under Slydini. After several years of apprenticeship, Slydini was willing to teach Dennis this wonderful routine. Dennis will not only explain the mechanics and sleights but also the psychology,...
Heirophant Change
Allan Ackerman
The heirophant change is a color change that happens while a card is snapped to the table. It was developed by Ed Marlo.
