The Aeon Reading is a mysterious Tarot card reading/experiment that will leave your participant wondering about the mystical powers of the Tarot. It will also leave them with an important message. If you perform at all with Tarot cards, you’ll surely be using this routine which has been in Alexandre's repertoire for years.
Written for the Thoth tarot deck (where the Aeon card is the 20th card) it can be automatically adapted to any tarot deck you might already own. This is based on a self working principle - no sleight of hand required.
1st edition 2005; 3 pages.

The first part and majority of this book deals with marked cards. It shows numerous examples of how and where to mark various back designs popular during the early 20th century in the United States. The second part briefly describes sleight-of-hand for the card cheater such as second dealing, bottom dealing, shuffling, false cuts, and mechanical hold outs. Each technique is illustrated with a photo, which is quite remarkable for a book from that time. The third and final part deals with the mathematical odds of draw poker.

Addicted To Power
The spectator chooses a random number of cards and a random selection from the deck. The random cards have letters on their faces. If you read the letters they give you the name of the selection! After this the magician shows that all the other cards in the deck are blank!
Mystical Sandwich
Two spectators choose two cards by cutting the shuffled deck. They sign their cards and bury them into the deck. The magician spreads the deck and shows that the mystical card of the deck has turned face up in the middle of the deck. By spelling the name of the mystical card, the...

Here is a trick from the great Aldo in the print & perform version. It doesn't require any skill. All you need to do is print the enclosed images and have a deck of cards at hand and you'll be ready to perform it.
EFFECT: An envelope with two predictions is given to a spectator to hold. A card is selected in a very fair manner, discovering at the same time, several cards which are left face up. You request the spectator to add the value of the face-up cards and note the total. You open the envelope and extract two Jumbo cards from it.
At this point, you ask the total that the spectator...

A card conceit based on a scientific principle never before used with a complete deck of 52 cards.
That statement above was true in 1921 when Adamathica was first released in a very limited run of 100 copies. Bertram Adams expanded the 27-card trick to a pack of 52 cards. The mathematics are based on Gergonne's Pile Problem.
EFFECT: The spectator is asked to make a free mental selection of any card in a deck of 52. This selection is made purely mentally without reference to any deck, hence it is not forced in any way. The same spectator or another, if there be more than one,...

A great book of card tricks, written by magic technician and noted theologian Warren Wiersbe. The accent is on simplicity, quick results, minimum of skill, and audience appeal. Forward by Ed Marlo.

Palming cards while the cards are in action of being shuffled.

An examination of the classic "Cards Across" effect which discusses and explains many methods and presentations from "thought of" cards traveling to "signed cards" or those with different colored backs. If you've used this effect, want to use it or need a great routine for your show, this is essential reading.

Face a deadly challenge.
In front of you lies a high bridge made of eight pairs of cards, reminiscent of the perilous glass bridge from the popular TV show "The Squid Game". Each pair has one red card (safe, tempered glass) and one black card (dangerous, regular glass). A misstep onto a black card means instant failure. No second chance. The odds of crossing the bridge safely are slim—less than 0.4% chance of success. But you’re not going to let chance decide your fate!
During the preparation, the participant checked each pair to ensure it included one red card and one black card....

This is another classic of card magic, a routine first published in Paul LePaul's book. The four aces are put back into the deck at different locations. The deck is shuffled and one half is half-way stuck into the other half. A few flicks and one ace at a time flies out of the deck.
runtime: 1min 58s

From the creator of the best-seller SCAMP comes a new effect based on the ACAAN plot. Although it is not the "Grail", it is direct to the point with a minimum of sleights and a few subtleties for a maximum impact!
EFFECT: The magician shuffles a deck of cards and asks a spectator to cut the deck a first time to determine a suit and a second time to determine a value (the suit and the value of the cards he cut to, let's say a Diamond and a 4). Then, the magician asks the spectator to imagine where his card may lie into the deck and thus, to think of any number. The spectator reveals he's thinking...

This is a fun routine that first appeared in Allan's Magic Mafia book. It is based on a Dai Vernon plot from the 60s. However, a typical 'all backs' routine requires many moves - half passes and double lifts. Here Allan has engineered a routine with a lot less moves. You could even do this routine while maintaining a stacked deck.
You show a deck that consists of cards that have backs printed on the front and back. This changes then to faces on both sides of the cards until everything goes back to normal.
runtime: 6min 30s...
