Performed and explained by Brian Barnes.
The explanation for the performance and method is in Al Koran's Legacy but as Brian Barnes has been performing this act for around 50 years he has taken bits of the routine out and has added some of his own subtle touches.
This is a brilliant act for any full time magical entertainer. It just requires the minimum of props including a blindfold, cards and a table. It can be worked absolutely surrounded and for audiences of virtually any size.
Brian Barnes not only performs the act in front of an audience of twelve but then explains how to perform it in detail....
In 1978, Karl Fulves published an excellent book entitled, Transpo Trix. The final item in this manuscript is an unsolved card problem that Mr. Fulves called "Snark Hunt." Here is the description of Mr. Fulves' card problem in his own words:
This is my idea of an ultimate version of the thought-card transposition. You start with a packet of aces and a packet of jacks. One jack is named and one ace is named. The ace packet is picked up. The named ace magically turns face up, but also, it is the only ace in the packet; the other three cards are jacks. It follows that the named jack is found face up...

This is a subtlety to facilitate - or make it easier - to perform the pull-out or strip-out shuffle. The video also explains the Alignment Subtlety and the Double Double.

Being a huge fan of the classic 'rising card' effect, Dave asked himself the following question: "Is it possible to cause a freely selected and signed card to rise from the centre of a regular deck of cards that is locked inside the card case?"
The answer is YES! The answer is AIR!
Any card is freely selected from the deck. The card is signed before being lost back into the pack. The pack is placed into the box and you focus your attention on the top of the cased deck. Slowly and eerily, a card is seen to rise from the center for well over half its length. That card is the signed card....

Q. Is it possible to perform the classic Rising Card effect without strings, magnets or elastic and without gaffed cards or gimmicked decks of any kind?
A. It is now! With David Forrest's A.I.R!
Effect: A spectator is asked to choose any card (no force) from a freely shuffled, completely regular deck of cards. The card may be signed if so desired. The card is then lost back into the deck. The magician places the entire deck inside the card case and, holding the deck with one hand, begins to concentrate. Very slowly, one card begins to emerge from the center of the cased deck. Little...

This is the second DVD featuring Rachel Colombini. It includes a special guest appearance by the one and only Patrick Page. This is great magic and easy to do.
Here are the routines:

This is an effect that Joseph is very proud of. When this was released it fooled top card magicians because of its diabolical method. There really seems to be no explanation. The magician is able to find the card chosen by the spectator under extremely tight conditions. The performer always looks away and the deck will be completely shuffled by the spectator. All this with a normal deck of cards. Joseph has cleverly combined two known methods to create a strong routine.

The very first issue of "Aether" featured an exploration of Gregg's "Ink Flight" effect. The concept is stunning: a spectator's signature travels across space to appear on a selected card. This all-new version enables you to accomplish this miracle with sleight of hand and simpler props (with credits to Ed Brown). Required are:
Hand-lettered text with illustrations by Gregg Webb.

Doug MacGeorge presents a fast-paced packet trick based on "Dr. Daley's Last Trick." A packet of four Jokers are cleanly shown - they suddenly transform into four Queens of Hearts before your spectators' eyes. This highly visual trick uses sleight of hand and ordinary playing cards.
