Ultimate Aggiunta

Four spectators write four numbers. A fifth adds them and the number matches a prediction as well as every spectator's result who participated in the experiment. A combination of methods cancels each other to make this an unexplainable mystery.

This is Luke's excellently engineered confabulation routine. This routine combines several different methods to create a rather detailed prediction effect. The routine showcases the possibility of mixing such methods as mechanical forces, psychological forces, double writing, reverse engineered predictions, planted predictions and extending predictions using 'bolstering' techniques. Within the whole routine, the performer will only need to 'double write' three times. Each of these happen under the logical 'covers' of writing another piece of information. The spectator is offered the opportunity to create life. It's one thing for a mentalist to read a spectator, there are techniques for age estimation and cold reading is often used to explain traits of their personalities. This is not a demonstration of cold reading.

This is a demonstration of sheer thought reading. I would like you to create a character in your mind, somebody completely different from yourself - make this hard for me! I want you to decide upon, in your mind, several details of this fictitious person.

1. Whether they are male or female
2. Their hair color
3. Their first name ...

A spectator is given a new deck of cards and some clothes pegs. Tearing off the cellophane they open the deck and begin to peg cards onto a washing line. When they run out of pegs, they shuffle the deck and pick one card at random. This card helps them randomly choose one of the pegged cards.

Imagine there are 9 cards pegged to the line and they choose the 4 of diamonds - they would then count along the pegged cards stopping at the fourth card. This card is turned around and re-pegged so that the audience can see what it is.

A prediction is opened revealing the name of selected card. ...

In this effect you tell a story with the help from some spectators. All important details are given to you by them and you have no control over what they say. Despite this, these details appear inside a book of matches, inside your pocket. And a card, crucial to your story, is missing from a deck that, like the match book, has been inside your pocket the whole time.

Bankteller is a powerful money prediction effect that involves several people: You hand a volunteer a prediction envelope. You show an empty stack of envelopes, you ask several people to put one coin each in that empty envelope, whilst you look away. You let the volunteer seal the envelope. After you noticed that a few of the contributors have cheated, you ask the volunteer to open the envelope and you predicted the exact amount collected; No swami writing!

Then you ask her to take any three coins and slip them in envelopes and mix them up. You will know where each coin is.

As a final thought...

Five audience members are asked to concentrate on one of six universal emotions. The performer reveals each person's emotion with a knowledge of "micro-expressions".

The last participant is asked to remain on stage for a final experiment. Although she does not know how, she demonstrates an even more impressive, uncanny intuitive ability.

Best of All: No one knows how and everyone is equally amazed. Honest!
