Only 3Fly is one of MS' pet effects with 3 coins. The flavor of a fingertip coin across without any gimmicks or invisible assistant, just 3 coins, 2 hands and a coherent routining. Learn today a totally practical routine suited for walkabout and cocktail performances.
"A nice variation with just 3 coins. Definitely an effect worth learning and studying" - Marion Boykin

You start by showing one joker and several blank cards, which are blank on both sides. Adding the joker to the blank cards makes them all become jokers on their faces. Then you do the same with the backs and end up with a pack of jokers. The blank cards have changed to jokers.

Yes, this looks impossible. You show four cards. Turn over one and the rest also magically turns over. That is just the warming-up effect. The real stunner is when you turn over the cards and suddenly three of them have big circles cut from their center and the fourth has changed color.

OPEC stands for Out of Position Elmsley Count - a variation by Ed Marlo.

Please note that this video is in Vietnamese. There are some English subtitles, but for the most part you will get the instructions of how to make the gimmick and how to perform with it from the visual contents of the video.
From the brilliant mind of Vietnams top magicians Duc Thinh and Hoang Sam comes a very clean mis-made card effect. A corner of the spectators signed card switches inside out and switches back with very little movement.

The double deal is taking the top and bottom card at the same time. The open double deal is an idea by Marlo which eliminates the card alignment issue.

"I checked out the Open Prediction 2025 and just wanted to say that's really cool. It's the exact type of card effects I like. It's just a genius method, so strong and direct, I love it. The fact it's so approachable for any skill level is great too." - Matt Overd
One of my favorite plots in card mentalism is the "Open Prediction". Many different scripts and presentations are possible with this classic from Paul Curry.
In this new method, we follow these practical conditions:

Out of Control is a surprising, impossible location effect. The magician never touches the deck or even looks at it because the spectator will do everything under the table including two riffle shuffles and several cuts. Yet despite these stringent premises, the magician will be able to find the spectator's card face down in the spread of the deck. Great reactions especially from fellow magicians.

This is a basic card control - easy to do, but also easy to mess up. It allows you to control the top half of the deck. Allan teaches several fine points and variations, including the slip shuffle where the bottom card is maintained during an overhand shuffle.
runtime: 3min 57s

Here you control several cards, say the four aces, during an overhand shuffle. It also allows you to get a break under the cards you control. This can be exploited to top palm these cards. This means you have not just controlled several cards, but also removed them from the deck.

This is a very clean method to add cards which are classic palmed to the bottom of the pack. (Also part of Move Mastery 1.)
