A spectator peeks at a card and performer knows which card was peeked at. This is done twice in a row and both times the performer is correct.

You show four cards that are blank on both sides. You stick a red spot on one of the blank cards and they suddenly all show red spots. You do the same with a blue dot and they all show blue dots. Finally, the cards return to being blank on both sides.

Using a swing cut action, Allan teaches a double and a triple false cut to be used while seated at the table.

The double deal is to secretly deal the bottom card together with the top card. Here Allan combines the dealing action with turning the card(s) face up on the deck revealing the bottom card.

This is an extension of the Martin Gardner poker deal from Royal Road to Card Magic including ideas from Simon Aronson and John Bannon.

This effect starts out with a quick transformation. Two spectators select four cards in total. These four cards visually and instantly change to the four kings. Then Allan demonstrates how a cheat would stack a deck to achieve an advantage. The final climax is a Royal Flush dealt to himself and three kings to one of the spectators.

The double undercut is one of the basic utility moves of card magic. It allows you to move cards from the top to the bottom or vice versa. It can also be used as a card control. Allan teaches you both, the in-hand and on-the-table varieties.

This is a neat ambitious type card routine where it appears that the deck consists of all the same cards because the same card can be found on the top, center and bottom.

It is assumed that you know the Ultra Move, Double Deal and a double lift.

This is another Red Black Shuffle, but in contrast to Ireland's Red Black Shuffle this is a riffle shuffle technique.

You start with three cards one of which has a big hole. Mixing them up a bit and suddenly the card with the hole has two holes. One moment later it has three holes. Another mixing and everything is back to where it started, one card with a hole, the other two regular cards.

This is Michael Close's version of the famous 'card warp' theme where a card turns inside out while being pushed through a bill.

This effect is also taught on Michael Close Signature Effects.

This Steve Draun idea allows you to peek the card while you do fan cards using a pressure fan. This is in contrast to techniques where you glimpse at or after closing the fan.

The Effect: The magi weaves a story of smuggling Pesos across the Mexican border. Then demonstrates by placing a signed Peso in one hand and an empty (just examined) film canister in the other hand. You get two floating object performances by Peki. One is the fun "Drunken Bottle Cork" and the other a poetic "Heart in Love" routine.

Please remember that you will only get the performances and no explanations. But if you know Peki's thread and method these two routines serve as further examples of what is possible with such a wonderful close-up floatation method. A card is selected and returned to the deck. The performer cuts to a random position to show an indicator card. The value of the indicator card is used to count to another card which the performer thinks is the chosen card. However, the indicator card was already the spectator chosen card. So it appears as the performer messed up. Nevertheless, everything straightens out magically and the card counted to is the spectator card and the card counted off are the aces.

To many, this will look like the flustration count but different. Many call it the FRUSTRATION count, so here's a good alternative to use in your effects.

Duplex is a card rising effect from the mind of Kevin Schaller. It builds and improves on an old theme which allows you to show the box from all sides as well as allows you to show the box completely empty before you insert the deck.

A freely chosen and signed card is lost into the deck and the deck is put back into the box. Without any funny moves the signed card starts to rise all the way out of the box.

The best part of the trick is that there are no threads, wires, weights, rubber bands or magnets - just the box and the deck. No forcing. No cellophane needed. Box can be shown empty...

This is an extremely clever gimmick which you can construct in a matter of minutes. You will probably have to make a quick trip to your office supply store, but it will be worth it. This is probably one of the most clever duplication principle.

An in-hand two card transposition with a surreal ending.
