You show, one by one, red and black cards perfectly mixed. That is, you show a red card, then a black card, then a red card, a black card, and so on, until you have shown 8 cards. But when you are done with showing the interleaved cards they are already separated.

This count is perfect for an oil and water routine or any other situation where you need to show cards mixed, but in the process of showing them mixed, they are being separated.

You start out with eight cards consisting of two packets of four identical cards each. The two designs are different. Peter uses two differently colored spots. This display move allows you to show eight identical cards with one design, and then eight identical cards with the other design. The spectator will think you have eight identical cards, and then suddenly they change to eight different cards.

You can use the turn count to, for example, display several identical cards with one odd card. Upon turning over a card, the faces have all changed to the odd card, with only one left with the old face. You will need some double facers to use it in this way.

This has nothing to do with Lager Beer, but a lot with David Regal. REGAL read backwards is LAGER and that's where the name comes from. David's excellent "Clarity Box" that he marketed was the inspiration, in fact I actually use his box in this video (although you could use any container or suitable drinking glass).

This is my handling with the UNPREPARED crystal box, acchieving the same result: a folded card, which has been in full view inside the box is switched out for a signed card. This is a no-frill switch for the worker with a heavy rentention of vision aspect to it.

The spectator's cut to the four sandwiches is a succession of magical effects. The magician takes his two lucky cards from the deck: the two of hearts and the two of diamonds. The spectator examines the two cards. The magician shuffles the deck and asks the spectator to cut it into four piles. This is where the fun part begins. Each time the magician approaches the two lucky cards to one of the piles, a card will mysteriously appear between the two lucky cards. The first will be a King, the second as well, and so on until you have the four Kings. It is not finished. Immediately the magician...

A spectator card is floating over the deck instantly. This effect was inspired by several classic versions from different magicians but this one uses a different gimmick. Easy to create. Easy to perform. Requires some arts and crafts to construct the gimmick.

Balance small objects on the edge of a card. The gimmick is easy to make but finicky to use. Also, watch your angles. Great for one-on-one or video shots but not so great with multiple spectators. The gimmick does not involve a thread, reel, or magnets.

The method is based on a black-art principle and thus best suited for a stage or video performance where lighting and angles can be controlled well. Making the gimmick involves arts and crafts.

This is a gimmick to visually change the middle card of a three card display.

Borrow a credit card and show the strips found on back of the card. Now just with your finger tips peel the identity strip completely off, restore it and return the card with your hands completely empty. A timely presentation around the issue of identity theft.

Physically impossible! Show a sealed tic tac box, show a ten pence coin, then spit blow the ten pence into the sealed tic tac box and hand it out to the spectator.

Scream then an eery silence! Show a zippo lighter (any lighter) and a box of matches. Have the spectator take out a match and close their hand around it. "Do you believe in voodoo!?" The spectator opens their hand to discover the match is now half burnt. Relight the half burnt match in their hands.

The spectator finds their card in an incredible way, with a stunning kicker revelation.

The jokers are given to a spectator to hold, then a card is selected. The chosen card is shuffled and lost in the deck. The cards are spread face down and the spectator freely inserts the jokers face up around any single card, isolating it from the rest. This mystery card is now turned over to reveal that, incredibly, it is their selected card. The effect could end right here, but in an unexpected finale, the jokers are turned over to reveal a jaw-dropping prediction.

Spectator merely thinks of any card out of 52 and that card is the only one with a different back than the rest of the deck. But what if the spectator would have named another card? To demonstrate the performer takes another card and visually moves the off color back from the first selection to the new one. A very visual and stunning transformation.

Glass through table is a classic of magic that is at least a hundred years old. You can even find it described in children magic books. The key to this effect is misdirection which requires a good amount of showmanship and spectator handling. Otherwise it is pure simplicity. With the tips and presentation by J.C.
