In the cleanest of manners, three coins quickly and magically jump from one of the performer's hands to the other.

No gimmicks required, this just uses regular coins combined with some sleight of hand. Not a routine for the beginner, this magical-looking effect needs to be performed on a close-up pad.

You show four cards with yellow backs. On the other side they all have green backs, meaning they are double-backer cards. Then where there were yellow backs, there are now blue backs. Then the cards turn into the four aces. Then the backs change to red backs. Eventually, each ace has a different coloured back.

You start with four blue double-backers. They turn into four red double-backers. And then they change into four of a kind, for example, the four eights, and each one has a different back.

A bewildering number of color changes. You first show four five-of-diamonds. They suddenly have large crosses drawn on their faces. The crosses also appear on the backs. Then they change to the four aces, and on top of that, each ace has a different back design.

An ace of spades transforms with the help of two cards with a hole to paper money.

The two Jokers are removed from the deck. Two cards are then selected. One by one the selections are placed between the Jokers and are then stretched to twice their length.

Now, both cards are placed between the Jokers after which they fuse into one examinable two-faced card that can be given to the spectator as a keepsake.

Finally the other cards are tossed onto the table and are seen to have become totally blank!

In Turbulence, the impossible becomes possible.

Turbulence is a multi-phase card routine that is both mind-bending and entertaining.

Effect:

Turbulence kicks off with a sizzling and super clean "Collectors" phase where four Kings instantly collect three previously signed cards. An offbeat effect, the head of a stick man that's drawn on a signed business card moves across the paper to another location. Effects where a drawing changes are always crowd pleasers. This one requires a flame from a cigarette lighter.

The principle, which was entirely new to me, is ingenious and allows you to create all kinds of variations. This is Alan Rorrison's solution to the Hofzinser Ace Problem.

A spectator freely chooses any card and signs it. The card is put face down between the two Jokers and these three cards (Jokers and spectator selection) are tabled. Then the spectator or another spectator selects four random cards from the face down spread. Magically the four chosen cards are the four aces. The ace with the same color as the spectator's card vanishes and reappears between the Jokers. The signed spectator selection is now found among the three remaining aces.

This is a beautiful ring-card linking effect.

Spectator freely chooses a card which he signs. Performer hole punches the signed card and magically attaches and then magically removes a ring. The hole punched card can be handed out for inspection.

The magician says he has a prediction written which he will get back to. A card is selected, noted and lost back into the pack. The magician says he will make the selection jump to the top of the deck. It is the wrong card. The magician shows his written prediction. It doesn't match the top card, but it is the selected card predicted ahead of time. The magician places the indifferent card into the spectator's hand. He waves his business card over the indifferent card. It visually morphs into the indifferent card. Spectator opens their hands. they are now holding their selected card.

You show a little notepad where an empty drawn window is depicted. Have a spectator pick a card and mentally tear off a corner. You now throw or cascade the cards towards the notepad and suddenly the chosen card is seen behind the window. However, a corner is missing. Snap your fingers over the missing corner and it appears behind the window.
