Make a card appear or change behind a window!

With WindowX you can make a card appear or change a card behind a window. You also can change the card in a sealed plastic bag that is attached and in full view behind the window. The spectator can remove the card or the bag himself (in most situations). The gimmick is very easy to make.

You can use many (but not all) windows. The trick is perfect to present in your living room or at a party with a little set up.

Sie lassen eine Spielkarte wählen und geben diese in das Spiel zurück. Der Zuschauer selbst darf das Kartenspiel mischen und auf dem Boden mit der Bildseite nach unten Ausbreiten. Sie geben nun vor die Karte ohne mit ihren Händen zu Berühren zu finden. Nun treten Sie mit ihrem Schuh fest auf die ausgebreiteten Karten und präsentieren dem Zuschauer eine Spielkarte welche sich unter ihrer Schuhsohle befindet. Doch leider handelt es sich nicht um die vom Zuschauer gezogene Karte. Doch kein Problem. Ein zweites Mal stampfen Sie mit ihrem Fuß auf dem Boden und heben ihren Schuh erneut hoch....

Let someone choose a card, and then put the card back in the deck. The spectator himself can shuffle the cards, and then lay them on the ground, face down. You now claim to find the card, without your hands touching them. Now you step on the cards on the floor, and show the spectator a card, which is underneath your shoe. But It is not the card the spectator has chosen. But no problem. You step a second time on the floor, lift up your shoe, and now the card has turned into the one, chosen by the spectator!

You require:

1. A Reel with a break
2. Some double sided scotch tape
3. Some magician...

You punch a hole thru the corner of two signed playing cards. You clearly show both sides of the playing cards and instantly link them together! But that's not enough. You tear off one corner and make it vanish only to appear inside of the signed playing card while the spectator holds the cards in his hands! The corner matches perfectly. Give the cards away as a Souvenir. They will find nothing. Perform it close up and stand up. The gimmick is easy to build.

Ralf Rudolph explains three impossible looking objects which you can make from paper or paper money. Remember that there is no gluing and there are no hidden cuts. Make any signed corner melt through a glass bottle.

Imagine this. You show a complete empty glass bottle (real glass) and make a signed corner from the label of the bottle, playing card, banknote, business card etc. melt through the glass - only by a small wave of your fingertips. It's really inside the bottle! No magnets, no slits, no trapdoors and no duplicates.

New impossible linking card designs

Here you learn a few simple ways to make some new impossible folded playing cards. You also can do this with your own business cards or banknotes. You even could link your business card with a banknote or playing card. A perfect souvenir! You don't need glue or anything like that. Put it in a frame or carry some with you and hand them out.

A bottle label magically penetrates the glass and is attached on the inside of the bottle.

Effect: Write down a prediction, for example a playing card. Since you have no piece of paper you write the prediction on the label of a cola bottle. Then have a spectator take a card from your deck (yes folks, you will need to force the card). And then reveal that you have correctly predicted the card. To give the spectator a little souvenir you sign the bottle label. On further thought you want to make it even more special. Take out your lighter, burn the label and suddenly the label with the prediction...

Have a spectator select a card (for one version it is a free choice, for a second version it has to be forced), have it signed, apparently loose it in the deck, and then you either spring the cards onto your baseball cap, or fan the cards before the cap and the previously selected card will appear to be attached to the top knob of your baseball cap.

Ralf explains how you have to gimmick the cap, and he will demonstrate several ideas and handlings of how you can perform this routine.

You may have seen something similar in a stage version from Martin Lewis. Ralf got his inspiration from Martin's effect and worked out a pocket version of it that uses a sticky note pad.

Effect: Draw a wrong prediction of a playing card on a sticky note pad. The chosen card rises out of the same picture. Give it away as an impossible souvenir.

This is an incredible card through window effect. The gimmick is easy to build and doesn't take that long to make, but it is a little project and will take some care to make well.

With this method you are able to burst any borrowed balloon at your fingertips. Even better, lay the balloon on the table and blow on it. A moment later the balloon pops without touching!

Apparently link two cards in an ad hoc impromptu appearing fashion.

Effect: You take two cards and openly tear from each two rectangular windows. This leaves a frame and a center beam in each card. Then you magically link them at the center beam. At the end you separate them again and hand out both cards as souvenirs. The cards will show no tear in the center beam or around the frame. Everybody will wonder how you were able to link them. There is no secret exchange of cards. The two cards you start with are the two cards you end with.

This effect is best done in an off-hand impromptu setting...

Show an empty bottle (with or without contents) and borrow a coin. Wrap this coin in some paper and place it on the lid of the bottle. Take a lighter (can be borrowed) and light the paper. The coin visibly penetrates the lid of the bottle and lands inside the bottle. The bottle can be examined immediately and given away as a souvenir.

This time Ralf teaches you how to make impossible looking cards. With a few simple cuts and folds you can make beautiful objects which you can hand out as presents or keep for yourself. Once you know the basic method you can start to create your own variations and combine different cuts and folds into new creative designs. Also remember that while Ralf uses playing cards you can do the same designs with many other paper products, be they business cards, bank notes, designer paper, craft paper, etc.

Link a rubber band on a signed card frame with a flash of fire. Give this impossible object away as a souvenir. The gimmick is exceedingly clever and not too difficult to make, but will require some care and patience.
