U.F. Grant's ideas are always clever. They are often a tiny bit different from a popular trick that almost everyone knows...so it will fool those people too. This book will make you think, but since the material is a little dated, you may have to rework things to make something work in today's environment. For example, if carbon paper is mentioned, there is not as much of that around, but art stores have a product like carbon paper, to transfer a drawing to a canvas before painting it in, and it works with the same material as pencil lead...graphite. This product alone inspires some thought about mentalism billets, etc. This is my idea...not in the book...of how to update certain things. One other is a telephone book test. There aren't so many telephone books around today, so maybe make it about some other kind of book. See what I mean about maybe having to make small changes to what is written to "update" the material.
