The Card Magic of LePaulPaul LePaulThis work by LePaul has become a classic a long time ago. It is a must read for anybody who is seriously interested in card magic. LePaul was one of the 20th century's most admired card technicians. Here he teaches you 31 moves and 21 routines, beautifully explained in word and more than 300 photos showing the master at work.

No one who has seen the program of Paul Le Paul can doubt his ability as a performer; and no informed magician who reads The Card Magic of Le Paul will question that it is a real contribution to the literature of card conjuring.

Encyclopedia of Card TricksJean HugardThis book is indeed worthy the name Encyclopedia. Originally compiled by Doctor Wilhelm von Deusen in collaboration with Mr. Glenn G. Gravatt (published in two volumes Encyclopedia of Self-Working Card Tricks and The Second Encyclopedia of Card Tricks), and later rewritten by Jean Hugard. It has a very interesting introduction by Ted Annemann where he addresses the issue of inventing new tricks and claiming ownership. This book will provide you with more card tricks than you ever wanted. The combined value of its contents, were the tricks to be computed at their original marketed price, was in the thousands of dollars. Now you can have it for a few bucks.
Hugard added a number of items over what... | ★★★★★ $6 to wish listPDF |
Encyclopedia of Self-Working Card TricksGlenn G. GravattThis is a marvelous compilation of mostly easy and sleightless, or as it is usually called self-working, card tricks. Some effects do require moves such as palming, and a good false shuffle and false cut will go a long way to make many otherwise sleightless effects much stronger. But for the most part no sleights are necessary to perform the vast majority of effects taught.
From the Introduction:
It is to be hoped that the reader will not have to go far in this book before he realizes and appreciates that this is not just another book, collection, or compilation of card tricks. It is expected... | ★★★★★ $39.50 to wish listPDF |
Finessed ControlsJon RacherbaumerControlling a card to the top or to the bottom is the most fundamental technique in card magic. Every card magician should have at least one good method to do that. Consequently many authors use the phrase "control card to the top/bottom with your preferred method" and leave the rest to the reader assuming that everyone already has his or her preferred method. While you might have your favorite method, the search for better ones never stops.
In this ebook Jon Racherbaumer describers several - as he calls them 'finessed' methods - to control a card to the top or to the bottom. You should find... | ★★★★★ $20 to wish listPDF |
Calling CardsScott F. Guinn... you put it in a clear glass tumbler, holding it up for all to see, the face of the pack toward the audience. You begin moving cards, one at a time, from the back of the deck to the face, and seven audience members take turns saying, "Stop" wherever they choose. As each person stops you, the next card is dealt face down on the table. Everyone agrees that this procedure has been totally fair.
The glass (with the deck still in it) is set aside. You pick up the packet of the seven stopped-at selections and begin to deal the cards one at a time on the table, switching the cards around as instructed... | ★★★★★ $10 to wish listPDF |

Consumer ControlDavid BritlandFive ESP cards are laid out on the table. Point to one and push it aside. Point to another and push it aside. Discard two more until just one is left. Do you think I could have predicted that card in advance?
A duplicate set of ESP cards has been on view throughout. They are all face down except one. It's your card. Not only that, but it has a completely different colored back from the rest!
Consumer Control is simple, easy and direct. No counts, moves or sleight of hand. A baffling demonstration of psychological persuasion.
[Note: This ebook does not come with the specially prepared cards. One set of ESP cards is regular. The other set is prepared with rough and smooth but in a very special way. If you have a roughing spray or stick you will be able to make your own cards. You will need ESP cards with two different backs. You will also need two double backers that match the two different backs and two envelopes.]

Another Card BookAl E. SmithOh No Not Another Card Book is probably a more apt title for a card book. In fact for any card book published since the printing press was first unleashed. On the other hand, what's wrong with another card book? That's a rhetorical question, since the obvious answer is nothing. Card fans can't get enough of their favourite fix and anything that only marginally irritates those non-persons who pretend they aren't fond of cards has got to be good news.
This collection is partly that; a revisit to some previously published oddments and a few new(?) assaults on familiar card-friendly themes.

Muscle Moves: A Crash-Course in Powerful CardmanshipJon Racherbaumer[Note: Despite all the rumors the cover does not show Jon in his younger years.]
This is an ebook about moves, card moves to be precise. If you are already familiar with the basics of card magic then you will find here a lot of advanced moves and concepts to significantly improve your magic. If you are an experienced veteran of card magic you will probably still find some moves you are unfamiliar with. It is also a great reference ebook to have in case you run one day into any of these moves. The moves are described in text and photos with references and sources in the usually meticulous Racherbaumer style.

Ultimate Secrets of Card MagicLewis Ganson & Dai Vernon This work was planned to be the last volume in Dai Vernon's Inner Card Secrets series. However, due to water damage caused by a fire the typed manuscript was lost. It took several years to recover from this mishap and therefore this last volume was originally published much later than the first three volumes (Inner Secrets of Card Magic, More Inner Secrets of Card Magic, Further Inner Secrets of Card Magic). The wait was justified because it was and still is one of the important works of card magic - now available as an ebook.
No serious card man can exist without reading and studying this work.

THE PERFECT LOCATION: You place a red card as a prediction in a blue deck. A spectator selects a freely chosen card from the same blue deck and replaces it in a random position of his choice. S.G. Spread ControlSayan G.A utility move that allows you to control a card to the top, to the second, or a few cards down from the top.
I have created this move back in 2010 to control a card to the top of the deck. Over the years I have refined it to this point, now I am confident enough to share it with the magic community. With this move, you can not only control a card to the top but also to the second position or a few cards down from the top. This move is easy to perform without any knuckle-busting exercises.

Weston's Ways With CardsMark WestonFrom the Foreword:
It has always been my aim to perform close-up magic impromptu, and with unprepared cards. This I do most of the time. Occasionally I find it is better to use the odd special card to enhance a particular routine, and as a commercial performer I have no qualms about this. In my view, the performer's personality should override all else, the props being the tools of his trade. When the blend of personality and props is exactly correct, the performance becomes an entertainment ... this is the aim.
The routines in this book are designed to appeal to those using card magic... | ★★★★★ $15 to wish listPDF |
Impromptu Card TricksMago Marko
In this fantastic ebook, you'll find the truly impromptu tricks found in The Encyclopedia of Card Tricks, together with dozens of notes not found in the original. These notes add new and interesting tricks and fresh ideas for presentation and even patter in some instances. But that's not all. We have added many illustrations that help clarify the description of certain tricks. Another thing we have done is adding, in some cases, the original advertisements that were used to sell these tricks when they were put on sale way back then.
Truly impromptu means that you take a normal shuffled deck and immediately, with no preparation... | $20 to wish listPDF |
