Amanda M. Thrasher

Amanda M. Thrasher was born in England and moved to Fort Worth, Texas, when she was 14 and resides there still. She has written several children's pieces, though Mischief in the Mushroom Patch is her first release. It is the first installment of the Mischief series. A Fairy Match in the Mushroom Patch, is the second book of the series and will be released shortly.

Amanda's personal mission, "Bringing Back Fairy Tales in a sweet, new, way." Her belief that fairy tales are beautiful and are still incredibly important, though in her opinion, children as a whole tend not to pick them up any more unless requested to do so.

Her characters are sweet and polite, a trait she believes is becoming quite difficult to teach these days. Her words, "Sweet is hard to teach, my children included!" Her desire to write a fresh new, sweet, fairy tale, led her to write Mischief in the Mushroom Patch.

The Mischief series contains gentle life lessons that are entwined through out the story, but the adventure itself is never lost or over shadowed. Though the original fairy tales often had brutal characters, no scary characters allowed in the Mischief series, since scaring the children is never her intent.

Amanda M. Thrasher contributes weekly to an author blog, and is working on several pieces at this time.
