Awad M. Sharar

I am a university graduate and I was granted a degree. Currently, I'm separated with children. If you read the first few pages from my book, you'll find that I'm from Jordan in the Middle East and you know the Middle East is highly an unstable region. Around ten wars between countries took place after the Second Great War, the war on Iraq in 2003 included in addition to three civil wars. There were always armies of victims and much suffering during and after each war. As I was an employee in a UN Organization for six years, I had to meet and to work mainly with refugees. I used to talk to them, to befriend them and I had to help them through my job and personally. I knew refugees who lost an arm or even two or a leg or with scarred faces or limbs. Some families, mostly big (five or more) lost their fathers, killed in military operations, lost or executed in their homeland. They were in their tents, zinc huts....unable to get any kind of petrol to heat themselves in the cold winter nights. Some of them had one meal; only one, a day and it was bread and tea only. Some families were split arbitrarily for years and even for decades. As I used to travel tens of miles daily, I resigned and worked in teaching for the MOE in Jordan. Presently, I'm retired.
