Beth Lindsay Templeton

Beth Lindsay Templeton, Director of Our Eyes Were Opened, a poverty education program of United Ministries, Greenville, SC, is a community activist, innovator, Presbyterian USA minister, consultant, teacher, and writer. She is the author of Loving Our Neighbor: A Thoughtful Approach to Helping People in Poverty and Understanding Poverty in the Classroom.

For 28+ years, she has interacted with people who are poor and marginalized, as well as with those who want to help people who have minimal resources. She graduated from Presbyterian College and Erskine Theological Seminary. She and her husband have three married sons and four grandchildren.
