Cheyenne Moon

Cheyenne Moon is, admittedly, a pseudonym. She prefers to keep her true identity a secret, although she knows that it will be revealed sooner or later. For now, Cheyenne just hopes it will be later.

She is 34, a student at Washington State University, and author of a handful of other books, series, and assorted stories. However, the other stories she has written are of a completely different theme and genre than the Jen Rice saga, so she thought it best to use a different name, just to minimize confusion.

Cheyenne likes vampires. Not the glittery, suave, genteel, castrated vampires that have been popping up all over the place (sparkles... really? What were you thinking?) but the honest, blood-drinking, gothic horrors of our past nightmares. I may not be as big a fan of werewolves (dare I say?), but I recognize that others are, and that they definitely have a place in any honest story involving the supernatural or paranormal. I recognize that ghosts and other wandering spirits need to be included in that as well, and while there aren't as many vampire and werewolf stories that include ghosts, I think that needs to be changed and I will do my best to change it.

That having been said, I am a lot like my main character, Jen Rice. I am every bit as much of an idiot at times, every bit as stubborn, and every bit as addicted to coffee as she is. If you are too, let me know. I am interested to hear what you think.

RiverDreams Publishing has picked up the Jen Rice series. Captives and Prisoners, the first installation, was released in March 2012. Festival of Souls, the next adventure for Jen Rice fans, will be available by the end of 2012.
