Dave Norman
Dave Norman grew up in a small town in South Texas, graduated from Crosby High school, class of ’73. I started writing poetry and short stories, drawing and painting, and in 1974, attained a certificate in Arts from Lee Jr. College, Teacher certification from Prarie View A & M extension college. In 1975 attained associate degree from ITT Technical Institute. Also diploma/certification San Jacinto College and NDT Technology Institute. I began taking an interest in writing poetry at an early age, won some elementary and middle school poetry contests, and was accepted as a distinctive member in the American Society of poets. But the interest I took in animals was different and unique to a lot of people. Some of my pets while growing up were a squirrel, a duck, an assortment of birds, a rabbit, a dog and a cat. These animals were special because they would understand me and I kind of knew what they wanted also and shared a kind of friendship and respect for each other.
Dave is very caring, sensitive, and with a creative imagination, he writes these stories for the children of the world that love animals, their selves and each other. To the child that hasn’t experienced a child hood, because of sickness or oppression. BE STRONG MY FRIENDS, you will one day make a difference in this world because you are the difference “Because Love is Why”.
Dave Norman currently resides in Houston, Texas with his wife Glory, Dave Jr., daughter Chrisharon and grandson Deandre and grand daughter Imani.
