Diana K. Perkins

Diana grew up in a small town in Eastern Connecticut. The nearby mill town, Willimantic, once a thriving economic center, was the largest nearby city. There she remembers the mills, established in the 1800’s running until the mid 1980's. She has many ties to the mills and mill towns in eastern Connecticut, so it is no small wonder that her first published novel is set in one of them.

Between her first 5 years at the Coventry Broadcaster and over 20 years at the Hartford Courant, Diana has been involved with ink for nearly 3 decades.

"I enjoy writing about Eastern Connecticut, the places, the legends. When I hear of a legend or tale, it peaks my curiosity and whets my imagination. I like going through old pictures, postcards and newspaper articles, these sometimes give me ideas for stories."

"I hope you enjoy my first novel, Singing Her Alive."

"I expect to have JENNY'S WAY out for early summer 2012 reading.
