Elaine Violette
Marrying young, raising four children and attending colleges classes at night, Elaine Violette had little time to write more than journals and poetry. Not until her children were having children of their own did she find the time to write for publication. Elaine writes Historical Romance. Her first novel Regal Reward was published by Ellora’s Cave in 2007 and finaled in the Golden Leaf Contest sponsored by New Jersey Romance Writers. A Convenient Pretense is her newest, released in April, 2013, and A Kiss of Promise contracted and coming soon. When she’s not working on a novel, Elaine teaches public speaking part time at a local community college. She is also available as a speech coach on an individual basis and as a presenter to help authors hone their public speaking skills. She enjoys drawing, kayaking, and traveling and most of all being with her husband Drew, children and grandchildren. She is a member of CT Romance Writers of America (CTRWA) and Charter Oak Romance writers (CORW) and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in English Education from the University of CT and a Masters in Educational Leadership from Central CT State University.
