James Arthur Anderson
James Arthur Anderson teaches English at Johnson and Wales University's North Miami Campus. He holds a B. and M.A. from Rhode Island Collge, and a Ph.D. from the University of Rhode Island.
He made his first professional sale back in 1979 to Andrew J. Offutt’s Swords Against Darkness V anthology and has since published fiction, articles, and poetry in a number of publications, including Fangoria; Horrors: 365 Scary Stories; Fantasy Tales; and others. His sonnet, “The Asian Market”, won first prize in the rhymed poetry category in the 76th Writer’s Digest Writing Competition in 2008, and one of his fantasy stories won first place in the Panama City Writers Contest in 2007. His poetry has also appeared in a number of academic literary journals.
Dr. Anderson's scholarly criticism has appeared in Lovecraft Studies, Studies in Weird Fiction, Crypt of Cthulhu, and Clio. He currently lives in South Florida with his wife Lynn, three spoiled cats, and two very spoiled horses.
