Linda LaRoque

Linda LaRoque is a Texas girl, but the first time she got on a horse, it tossed her in the road dislocating her right shoulder. Forty years passed before she got on another, but it was older, slower, and she was wiser. Plus, her students looked on and it was important to save face.

Linda is a retired teacher who loves West Texas, its flora and fauna, and its people. Her stories paint pictures of life, love, and learning set against the raw landscape of ranches and rural communities in Texas and other areas of the Southwest. Linda is a member of RWA, her local chapter of HOTRWA where she serves as president, NTRWA and Texas Mountain Trail Writers.

Today she lives in a small community outside of Waco, TX with her husband and dog Molly. They have two grown children and a grandson. Visit Linda at her website www.lindalaroque.com and read about the books she’s working on now. On her blog at lindalaroqueauthor.blogspot.com she shares short stories she’s written, recipes, tips on writing, vacations, writing workshops, has guest author bloggers, and a monthly drawing for a free ebook.
