A C.A.A.N. Duel is a pair of incredible card magic effects of the 'Card At Any Number' theme. In the first effect, which gives the eBook its title, a complete deck of 52 cards, possibly also borrowed, is shuffled at will by a spectator who will take part in a challenge. This movie was taken by Ake Hallberg from Sweden. Location is Hyde Park in London during the 1980s. The 8mm film was sent via Ulf Morling to Martin Breese who released it on DVD. You will see two performances of Fred's fantastic Ambitious Card routine together with numerous sleights and color changes. You will also see his incredible Vanish of Coin in tie.

This is a wonderfully deceptive way to steal a card from the deck into a longitudinal palm - a Tenkai palm but with the card rotated by 90 degree - and then reproduce it super clean from the pants pocket or inside jacket pocket.

This is an effect Hofzinser created. You can read three versions of the original in Hofzinser's Card Conjuring. Three spectators choose two cards each and are asked to remember them both. Then they are asked to forget one of their cards. All six cards are returned and lost in the deck. Then spectator by spectator the performer finds the card the spectator remembered, shows it and places it face down on the table. As a climax those three remembered cards turn into the cards the spectators tried to forget.
