Melissa Kakakios
I am the mother of eleven children 3-18 years old who practise and compete in the Olympic sport of Taekwondo. I hope to promote this sport and Korean martial art through a series of children's picture books starting with I Love Taekwondo and then addressing the tenets of Taekwondo - primarily Courage, Courtesy, Honesty, Perseverance, Self-Control and Indomitable Will.
I was a Clinical Nurse Consultant for Education in Sydney, New South Wales. When I married and started a family, we moved to rural Queensland and raised eleven children who are home-educated and striving to become elite athletes in sport of Taekwondo. I am also a songwriter and keyboardist and I enjoy keeping fit and healthy. I am inspired by children and their dreams.
