Mirko Beljanski PhD
Mirko Beljanski (1923-1998) was one of the first molecular biologists to study RNA, which plays a dynamic role in cell regulation. He demonstrated that the fundamental difference between normal and cancer DNA really lies in its secondary structure: the cancer DNA double helix is permanently opened over large areas, whereas in normal DNA, relaxation only occurs locally and temporarily for replication or gene expression. He looked for natural molecules that would do the opposite: partially close the DNA strands and slow down cancer DNA synthesis. He identified two, present in natural plants: Pao pereira and Rauwolfia Vomitoria. The activity of these non-toxic extracts is selective to cancer DNA, to cancer cells, and to the tumors in organisms with cancer. Efficiency of these extracts is now confirmed by numerous American studies. Today his work continues in the US, where his extracts (the Beljanski® Products) are distributed by Natural Source International, Ltd.
