R. M. York
R.M. York is the grandfather of six wonderful and beautiful grandchildren. Now 69, and with the Clock of Age ticking, he decided to write a children’s story using them as his inspiration. After getting encouragement from family members, and friends, some of them elementary school teachers, he decided to publish the story. Since then he has written two additional stories and has plans for four more, each involving one of his grandchildren as the model for the main character.
An avid reader, science fiction and fantasy being his favorite, he reads every day. York grew up in the Midwest, and is a veteran of the U. S. Navy. He has been a Navy medic, a construction worker, a foreman in a steel mill, a sales representative of institutional chemicals and electronic signs, and a landscape designer. He has been a successful business man owning three retail businesses the last 21 years including a flower shop with his wife, her sister Sharon and Sharon’s husband Bill. He is happily married to his best friend, Kathy, and they are parents of three children, a son Kelly, and two daughters, Tiffany and Heather. R.M. York and his wife live in Henderson, NV.
