Rebecca Gurnsey

My mother used to say that I’d rather daydream than do anything else. She was right. My imagination was always full of stories. I’d lie awake at night creating stories about places I yearned to go and imagined being a host of different people. I don’t remember ever being bored, because my imagination could create endless adventures.

I was married in the 1970’s to a wonderful Christian man, and was blessed with two daughters whom we educated at home. Later, I was blessed with two sons-in-law and eight grandchildren. After I raised my family, I went to college for the first time and earned a Business Technology degree. I worked in various office jobs, and taught in public and private schools.

My imagination kept me occupied in my spare time over the years with stories that I wrote and tucked away. As I was homebound caring for my husband who was dying with cancer, I brought out those stories, edited them, and wrote some new ones. I spent many hours reading biographies of great Christians, wonderful theology books and sermons, as well as the Bible, to my husband who had become too ill to read. He also liked for me to read the books that I wrote. Before he passed away, he asked me to promise him that I would publish my books.
