Roger D. Sullivan
Roger Dale Sullivan was born September 2, 1949 in Atlanta, Cass County, Texas. He is the proud father of two daughters and has five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He is proud of his Irish, English, and Native American ancestry. He firmly believes one must know his ancestral heritage to truly realize the direction he was born to take in life. He enjoys playing music with his friends which he does every third or fourth Saturday night when his convenience store in Bloomburg, Texas closes at 8:00 P.M. He loves the poetic challenge of song-writing and plans to publish a number of his songs soon. He is currently writing a book based on the true story of the life and times of his great-grandfather, George Washington “Wash” Sullivan, 1866-1931. He is entertaining the idea of a book of poetry but only time will tell. He married his very best friend, Judith Martin, and considers him-self the most fortunate man on planet earth.
