Lucky in LoveKen de Courcy... eventually stopping and taking off the top card of their respective packs. These are placed back-outwards on the table, or retained by the lady, and the packs are discarded. (Note that the two packs are genuinely shuffled by spectator and performer and that the lady cuts freely the pack.) The two cards are turned over and are seen to match. Finally, the remaining three (unchosen) envelopes are torn open. Inside the first there is a $5 bill; in the second, a $10 bill and, in the third, a$50 bill!

MINT 1967 AnnotatedEdward Marlo & Wesley James ... Joe Crimp" and "Ever Ready Black" concept, which have sweeping implications. Ed also adds to his recurring exploitation of the temporary gaff in "Opportune Miracle." Wesley takes the opportunity to share his work on the "Toss Out Deck" plot with a ground-breaking version wherein spectators force cards on each other and there's never a "No" answer. Ed's "Torn and Restored Card" may have been superseded in recent years, but it maintains an unrivaled visual element. Ed also describes some of his ever-evolving "One hand Card Switch" techniques and introduces the then-little-known "Lateral Palm,"... | $40 to wish listPDF |
My Creepy Card 2Biagio Fasano
This eBook contains the evolution of the effect previously covered in Volume I, but its understanding and execution does not require reading the previous one, although it is highly recommended.
The effect is totally impromptu, semi-automatic, quick to perform (only eight cards are used), does not require any complex card magic technique, and introduces for the spectator the possibility of secretly associating "Yes" and "No" with a single or double clap of the hands, in response to the few questions that the mentalist will ask during the experiment so that he cannot apparently know what the viewer... | $4.90 to wish listPDF |
Six AppealMark Leveridge
An envelope is shown and a single card removed from inside, but not shown. The envelope is otherwise empty. This card is a prediction and is replaced into the envelope and left in view. Six Jumbo cards are freely and openly displayed and various spectators are asked to choose any of the cards to eliminate until just one is left.
Despite the fact that there is genuinely no force or selection control, the prediction card exactly matches the randomly arrived at selection.
This direct effect is ideal for a close-up or parlor show.

Three Pile Location: on methUnnamed Magician
Imagine:
The magician introduces a deck of cards. He invites a spectator to thoroughly shuffle the deck. Once the spectator is done shuffling, the magician spreads the deck face up as he asks them to verify that all the cards are in fact different. With this done, he closes the spread and turns the deck back face down, after which he turns his back to the spectator. He then (while turned away) instructs the spectator to cut the deck into 3 piles. Furthermore, he promises never to touch the deck again until the end.
The spectator takes the deck and cuts it into 3 more or less equal piles:... | $20 to wish listPDF |
Totally Impossible Location AgainUnnamed Magician... here is slightly different (and cleaner) compared to the method taught in "Magic Monthly." It's fooled many well-versed magicians, so laymen don't stand a chance. Read on. (There is a full performance video with a spectator attached below as well.)
Imagine:
The magician introduces a deck of cards - he spreads it face-up to show that all the cards are different. The spectator is invited to thoroughly examine and shuffle the deck.
The magician then explains (as he gives a demonstration) that they are to select a card by simply cutting somewhere into the middle of the deck. The spectator... | $20 $15 to wish listPDF |
Twenty Stunners with a Nail WriterFranklin M. Chapman... the depths of a spectator's mind or predicts in advance the particular word, number, name, playing card, or other mental image upon which his "subject" is about to concentrate.
Twelve of the tricks explained here are in the nature of predictions. In five, the performer predicts the names of cards that will be drawn; in two, numbers that will be written down; and in yet others, one or more words, a throw of the dice, the amount of money in the possession of anyone whom a spectator may choose to call by telephone, the musical selection a spectator will play or sing, and other tests of... | ★★★★★ $5 to wish listPDF |

- The medium "thought reads" the names of three cards mentally chosen by members of the audience.
- The medium predicts in writing the card that will be selected by each of three spectators. (This is an adaptation of an Al Baker effect.)
- The medium reads the name of a "thought of" card by a different procedure from that described in (1) above....
