JASPER, THE MYSTICAL SNAKE: A cute effect involving a bunch of cards with different colored circles and a card showing a picture of Jasper, the mystical snake. The card having Jasper's picture on it is initialed on both front and back by the spectator and the circle cards are also thoroughly mixed by him. The spectator after mixing the different colored circle cards selects 2 of them and Jasper is able to reveal the chosen colors but in a dramatic manner. As a climax, all the other cards having other varying colored circles on them turn blank....

Effect: Four cards are selected from a deck and tabled face down in a row. The first selection is turned face up, it is the 10S. The magician explains he has previously turned one card over with the same suit in a four-of-a-kind packet. An odd-backed packet is introduced as the magician says he was actually so sure of the spectator's choice that he replaced the other cards with Jokers. He displays one face down card between three Jokers. The card is turned face up, it is a Spade! The card is replaced into the face up packet that is placed momentarily onto the deck. A deck of cards becomes a stable of 52 horses. The horses are shuffled by a spectator and the deck is placed down. The performer then writes down the name of one of the horses on a pad and places it sight unseen in view on the table. This is a prediction of a horse that he believes will win an imaginary race in a few moments time.

Spreading the deck, a spectator is invited to touch one at a time completely at random seven horses. These are removed and held in a pile. He then selects any number from one to seven. Using the chosen number, horses are eliminated in the pile one by one until...

Imagine:

The magician introduces a deck of cards. The spectator can thoroughly examine it, after which they can freely shuffle it for as long as they want in any way that they want. Once they're done shuffling, the magician invites them to spread through the deck face down and select any two cards that they like. They leave these face down on the table. The magician then instructs them to turn one of them face-up - let's suppose it is the JS. As for the other one, the magician tells the spectator not to look at this card yet - it will be a mystery for the end.
