Selwyn E. Wright

Selwyn Wright is an English physicist who has made fundamental contributions to the foundations of wave theory, formulating mathematical solutions for source and observer physics that have led to accurate predictions of acoustic and electromagnetic wave propagation.

Scientific contributions

He is best known as a wave theorist in power systems, noise generating systems and noise cancelling methods. He is the author of a book that updates key aspects of electromagnetic theory and credited as a leading authority in theoretical and applied wave theory, he was the first to develop and solve the general wave equation for classical sources and observers in motion. He has recently turned his focus to relativistic electromagnetic theory and claims that the field equations in Einstein’s Special Relativity (SR) need revision. Selwyn Wright is one of only a few people working today in fundamental electromagnetic research who have the relevant expertise in wave theory required to investigate pre-Einstein thought as considered by James Clerk Maxwell and Hendrik Lorentz more than one hundred years ago. He has published over 100 archive publications, and holds six patents.
