Ted Gugelyk
Ted Gugelyk from Hawaii and now residing in Thailand, author of many short stories with Hawaii surfing themes published in international surf magazines, Surfers Journal, Surfers Path, Long Board, and others. Author of The Separating Sickness--oral history of leprosy patients confined against their will at the Kalaupapa Leprosorium on Molokai Island, Hawaii. Author of Mango Lady, a book of short stories of Hawaii and Vietnam. Author of A Girls Life in Moon River Village, Thailand. A story about rural village life, teen pregnancy, breakdown of traditional Thai communal values, and prostitution.
Ted is retired from the University of Hawaii and the East West Center in Hawaii.
