Script: David Britland: Narrator: Dave Kelly: Producer: Martin Breese
You have probably read all of the books on Chan Canasta and now you can actually hear Chan Canasta performing some of his classic effects on this amazing recording.
In fact this is a complete program on Chan Canasta. It draws on Martin Breese's extensive archive of sound recordings of Chan Canasta.
You will hear Canasta live and then you will be given a complete description of each effect by the narrator. The book test, for example, can be heard exactly as it was performed more than forty years ago and then each move is carefully explained in great detail. The entire program has been scripted by David Britland and is narrated by Dave Kelly, a professional voice-over artist and well known broadcaster.
Also included in this download are two PDFs. One is a reproduction of the booklet originally included with Martin Breese's MagiCD. It describes two effects, "A Sophisticated Card Trick", and "An Experiment in Concerted Motion." The second PDF is a reproduction of a limited edition booklet Martin Breese published in 2001. It holds two articles on Canasta, one by Graham Jolley and the other by Val Andrews.
This is a licensed reproduction of the famous Magicassette and MagiCD series created by Martin Breese - now owned by Lybrary.com.

"A remarkable man" is how he's often described, and it fits. This audio documentary/biography is almost as entertaining as a Canasta show. With only voice, Canasta's powerful presentation and audience manipulation comes through. If this doesn't improve your own performance, if this doesn't inspire you to use creative (and controlled) boldness, you need to listen to it again. And again.
Priced a bit higher than other audio files, it is still one of the best values in magic.
