Sono partito dall’ idea di Karl Fulves chiamata “Voodoo Cards”, pubblicata alle pp. 588-589 della raccolta The Pallbearers Review, Vol. 5-8 (Novembre 1969 - Ottobre 1973), dove sono descritti una serie di cinque effetti proposti come scommesse, con l’utilizzo di sole tre carte o biglietti scritti sul momento. Scommesse sempre vincenti e di rivelazione immediata a una prima occhiata, considerando anche il fatto che gli elementi in gioco sono davvero pochi e la probabilità (percepita) di riuscita è pari al 50 %.

I started from Karl Fulves' idea called "Voodoo Cards", published on pp. 588-589 of The Pallbearers Review, Vol. 5-8 (November 1969 - October 1973), where a series of five effects proposed as bets are described, with the use of only three cards or tickets written on the spot. Always winning bets and of immediate revelation at first glance, also considering the fact that there are very few elements at stake and the (perceived) probability of success is 50%.

With this work I wanted to celebrate the famous number tables, protagonists of the game "Guess your age". I thought that this game, considered the 'oldest mentalism effect', could be improved and that that weak magic effect could be transformed into something powerful, without increasing the difficulty of execution.   A number is thought of by a spectator and written upon a business card. This card is slid face down into the magician's wallet and the wallet closed so that there is no way for the magician to see what is written.

  The magician hones in on the spectator's thoughts and commits to what he thinks by writing it on a business...

Some random letters are chosen to make up the initials of a fictional character out of the performer's sight. A name could be thought of from these letters, this will never be written down; it's in the mind of the spectator.
