EFFECT: A spectator shuffles a packet of number cards as much as he wants and deals through it to create a random number. Then, he deals through a blue-backed deck of playing cards (in which the magician put a red-backed prediction) and stops at his number. Let's say his card is the 7 of Clubs. Unbelievably, the red-backed prediction is the 7 of Clubs!

As he shuffles a deck of playing cards, the magician talks about how cards and numbers have been used for centuries to predict the future and how it translates into his art. He writes down two predictions on the face of a random card and tables it face down. He grabs the deck and deals the cards two by two — top and bottom card together. The performer introduces two packets of cards; the four Aces and Kings. The Ace‐packet is placed on the table and with a magical gesture, the Kings packet magically transforms into the Aces. The Kings are now on the table.

What amazed me about this trick is that the visual change actually works! When you first read through it with cards in hand, you think, "Wait a minute... This can't be right..." But it's amazing...

A deck of cards is given to a spectator to shuffle, and she's asked to silently think of any number between 1 and 52. The performer then asks the spectator to freely select a card and remember it.

At no time during the effect does the performer know the spectator's number or the value of the chosen card. He briefly shuffles the deck, asks the spectator to hold out her hand, and places the face down deck on her palm. The spectator then deals cards, one by one face down, to her chosen number.

She then turns this card face up. It's her chosen card.
