PIECE OF CAKE

An envelope containing a prediction is introduced. 7 cards bearing 7 different numbers are introduced as well. You tell them behind each of those cards there is something written but that’s for later use. Next the cards are placed in two different rows of 4 & 3 cards in each. A three phased routine that allows you to share the experience of what it feels to be a mentalist.

PHASE I – UNCONSCIOUS COGNITION
5 Cards with ESP symbols are laid face down in a row towards the participant. The performer introduces another set of 5, lays them face up in a row towards himself. With a little thought the performer points to a card from his row and the participant to point a card from their row and it matches.

PHASE II – THOUGHT IDENTIFICATION
The performer draws one of the symbols on a card and the spectator correctly guesses which one has been drawn.

This is the workers edition of Erdnase's The Expert at the Card Table. Produced as a letter sized three ring binder so that one can insert note pages anywhere one wishes to take notes, printed in large font (16pt) on heavy coated durable paper, so that it can be read from a distance.

Show a playing card which has random holes in it. This is best done by putting it in front of a light source, such as your phone's screen. In an instant the holes rearrange to something meaningful.
