Zella: copper and silver coin routineUlysses Frederick GrantIt is impossible to adequately describe in words the greatness of the Zella Copper and Silver routine. Nowhere will you find a routine so easy and pleasurable to present, yet so profound in its effect upon those watching it. The routine has been thoroughly tested from every practical and theoretical standpoint and has been performed with unparalleled results before men experienced in coin magic.
No double-sided or other trick coins used. No gimmicks. Only regular coins used. Easy to learn as there are no difficult sleights.
First Effect: Three coins are on a table; two half dollars and... | ★★★★★ $4 to wish listPDF |
Window StoppersUlysses Frederick GrantThis ebook describes store window displays which are magical in one way or another causing pedestrians to stop and look into the window. Once a person stops and looks at the display the chances for them to actually enter the store have dramatically increased.
Several of these contraptions use magic principles. One can think of them as magic apparatus displayed in action. Although these displays could be employed by pretty much any store, I would think that they would be most appropriate in the window of a real magic store. I have never seen any magic store use anything like this. An innovative... | ★★★★★ $7 to wish listPDF |
Walking Through a Woman IllusionDevin Knight & Ulysses Frederick Grant At last, here is a new illusion effect and one that any performer may own. Yet, here is an illusion which will compete with the best of them and it will not cost you several hundred dollars to own it or even a tenth of that. In my opinion this is more effective than the Interlude Illusion at a fraction of the cost.
EFFECT: Setting at the center of the stage are four chairs, in a row facing the audience. There is a space between the two center chairs wide enough for the performer to walk through. A girl assistant is then placed in a reclining position across the seats of the four chairs.... | ★★★★★ $6 to wish listPDF |

Walking Through a Steel Plate PlusUlysses Frederick Grant & Ken de Courcy As usual with Grant instructions, they leave a lot to the imagination and "know-how" of the magician. However, the method was a clever one, simple but very effective. Ken de Courcy has taken the original instructions and added to them his own presentation points, and not only that, his improvements and various novel dressings which lift the effect up and turn it into acceptable modern entertainment.
In the original effect, a committee was invited on the stage to examine a solid steel plate. Then circular drawstring curtains were placed at the front and the rear, the magician walked behind... | ★★★★★ $7 to wish listPDF |
Victory Carton IllusionsUlysses Frederick GrantFew people consider paper, cardboard and carton high-tech products, but they are. Go visit any paper factory and you will find out that some of the largest and most complex manufacturing machines in operation today are paper machines.
Since my father worked for many years for a paper manufacturer, I have learned to respect paper from a very early age. This is part of the reason why I am so excited about this e-book. It describes 12 stage illusions which you can build entirely from carton. Carton is inexpensive, easy to work with, light weight, pretty durable and packs flat. These are characteristics... | ★★★★★ $9 to wish listPDF |
UF Grant's Lost Card SecretsDevin Knight & Ulysses Frederick Grant This new e-book contains five of U. F. Grant's forgotten and almost lost card miracles. The first four effects are from a booklet released in 1931 that contained what Grant considered to be his four best card effects. The release was called: Counterfeit Card Miracles. It is very rare and almost impossible to find today. Devin has taken the four effects and updated them and expanded the directions. These are real magician foolers!

U. F. Grant's Lost Illusion Secrets RevealedDevin Knight & Ulysses Frederick Grant This is the largest collection of U. F. Grant illusions and illusionettes every assembled. It took Devin Knight several years to compile this collection. Grant wrote a few books on illusions such as: 15 Great Illusions, Chinese Magic and Illusions, Modern Levitations, Victory Carton Illusions, Grant's Illusion Secrets, and many others. However, most of the illusions in this PDF were not included in those manuscripts.
Over the years, Grant sold many manuscripts that just contained one illusion along with building plans in most cases. (Some of these were released by Percy Abbott in his catalog without credit to U. F. Grant.) This compilation is a collection of those plans released by Grant and also in the early... | ★★★★★ $35 to wish listPDF |

Tricks with HaresUlysses Frederick GrantPerhaps no other effect is so much associated with the magician as that of producing a rabbit from an empty hat. And, oddly enough, so few magicians today use a rabbit in their act.
Where the idea of producing a rabbit from a hat originated is not certain. The favorite story seems to be about the 18th century English woman who felt that she was not getting the attention she deserved. She told her husband and neighbors that she had been accosted by a rabbit and some time latter she took to her bed. The story immediately went out that she had given birth to several rabbits. The Invisible Man EffectUlysses Frederick GrantThis is a very rare and seldom seen release of U. F. Grant. It was released in 1934 by Nelmar and was only available from him. In this short release Grant explains several methods for creating the effect of an invisible man on stage.
The invisible man is heard walking out on stage and wearing a hat, but no visible body; which the performer removes. He is heard to converse with the performer and even rock in a rocking chair. The invisible man goes out into the audience and looks at cards selected by spectators and returns to the stage and whispers them in the performer's ear so the performer... | ★★★★★ $2 to wish listPDF |

Resting on the platform is a beautifully decorated two-fold screen. It supports a platform with gold fringe representing a carpet. The carpet seat is tufted and padded for comfort, and it shows up well at a distance.

The Fastest Rope in the WestUlysses Frederick GrantThis routine has multiple effects. You begin with a length of rope...showing it freely. Instantly a knot appears on one end. You clearly untie it, but a moment later another knot appears. You clearly untie it again but...yes you are right...another knot appears. You repeat this effect again and again. At the end you have snapped five knots in all.
Now you borrow a finger ring and execute Grant's "Poor Man's Monkey Bar" in which you tie three knots on the rope with the ring knotted to the one on the right. Then you put the rope behind your back and pretend that the ring "magically" pass... | ★★★★★ $3 to wish listPDF |

Your audience will not believe it. Neither would you if you were not in on the secret.

Sleight of Hand Rope TrickUlysses Frederick GrantThis is the first official release U.F. Grant made in 1928. This came before his 45 Tricks, and was an amazing rope trick well before its time that introduced the magic world to the genius of Grant. Very rare and seldom seen.
EFFECT: A length of rope is displayed measuring about 3 feet long. This can be passed for examination before and after the trick. The rope is taken and the ends tied together. The performer states the rope can be cut and restored in any section of the loop. He proceeds to cut the rope 3 or 4 inches from the knot and then restoring it there. SecretsUlysses Frederick GrantThe title "Secrets - Malini, Leipzig, Vernon, Jarrow, ..." suggests a lot, but these are merely the interpretations and versions of U. F. Nevertheless I think it is a cheap way to learn the plots and a method to several of the greatest tricks of all time. Just don't expect very detailed descriptions.
