Barrie Richardson
(Chicago, Illinois: April 10th, 1934 - Shreveport, Louisiana: November 17th, 2015)
Barrie Richardson was a highly educated man, with an MBA and PhD in marketing, business and government, applied economics, business history and philosophy from Indiana University. His career had him teach at various colleges and universities including Bethany College, Arizona State University, Indiana University, Hope College and at Centenary College of Louisiana. He even served as Dean in some of them. He started to publish and invent magic tricks from his early adulthood on, specializing in mentalism. He was a member of the Inner Circle of The Magic Circle in London, The International Brotherhood of Magicians, The Psychic Entertainers Association, The Sark Secret Magic Society, and The Buenos Aires Magic Society in Argentina. He was a frequent contributor to magic magazines including Club 71 and wrote three books: Theater of the Mind (1999), Act Two (2005), and Curtain Call (2011).
