This is an early article on trick riding and formation riding. It describes the near mount, flying mount, dismount, how to stand still on a cycle. the Siamese ride and others.
It also describes with diagrams what I would call formation riding, where several riders trace a particular pattern resulting in beautiful figures and combinations. The figures described are the Double Circle, the Maze and the Maypole.
