Dr. Machanja Ligabo
Dr. Machanja Ligabo was born in 1944 at Imakhaya village in Kakamega County. He belongs to Luhya nationality of western Kenya. He is a Kenyan citizen. He is married with six grown up children. Dr. Machanja Ligabo had his early education in Kenya, he proceeded to then USSR now Russia for his higher education. He holds a Diploma in Cooperative Management, A Masters Degree (Honours) in Law and Ph.D in Jurisprudence. Dr. Machanja Ligabo has been a lecturer at Cooperative College of Kenya now known as Cooperative University of Kenya. He headed the Legal Divisional of then the Ministry of Cooperative Development for many years.
