I was born in Montana, like my father before me. I am married to Sharon and we have three young children. Our life has taken us to many places: Mexico, Scotland, Jordan, Israel, and Spain.
I am involved in both higher education and ministry. I hold a BA in philosophy, an MA in theology, a diploma in Arabic, and a PhD in Divinity (focus, world Christianity). My areas of expertise are religious conversion from Islam to Christianity, contextual theology, and the history of Protestant mission on the Middle East.
I enjoy dining with my wife, doing puzzles with my kids, playing Nintendo with them, reading, traveling, meeting new people, and engaging the intricacies of Islam and Christianity in the context of our confounding, modern world.
