Jennifer Yerkes
Jennifer Yerkes was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota. After a stint in Turkey when she was a little girl, her family moved back to the U.S., and eventually settled in Iowa City, Iowa. A happy childhood, surrounded by her family, art, books, and greenery, was followed by studies in Design and Art History at universities in the U.S. and Europe. Although she loves to travel—by foot, bike, boat or train—Jennifer believes strongly in the adventures of the mind made possible through literature, art, cinema and theatre. She now lives in Strasbourg, France, with her husband and twin sons, where she works as a graphic artist and illustrator, still surrounded by her family, art, books, and greenery.
