Pro stand-up magician, initially mainly with trade shows. Joined Johnson Products as part-time consultant in 1972. Married mime-magicienne Tina Lenert in 1979. Publisher of major magic books in Pasadena since 1980, first as "Magical Publications" then since c1993 as "Mike Caveney's Magic Words". Toured in 1980 with the Richiardi show.

Wrote Magicomedy (1981, 171pp), The Great Leon (1987, 133pp), Carter the Great (1995, 375pp), etc.

1988 Henry Ridgely Evans History Award; 1991 Dragon Award (jointly to Mike and Tina); 1996 Christopher Award for Literature.
