Nile B. Norton
Nile B. Norton, was born February 24, 1922 and died November 7, 2001. He played semi-pro baseball with the Iowa Oaks until WWII. He served in the Air Force (originally Army Air Corps) from WWII to 1969 serving with Strategic Air Command. He attained a B.A., M.A. and PhD. in History, and taught at the US Air Force Academy. After retirement from the Air Force, he taught at Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio Texas for many years. He was a true renaissance man - as comfortable discussing history as creating stained glass, writing, or building a cabin in the woods. He is survived by his wife, two daughters and a son.
