P. K. Ilango
(26th August 1949 - 21st April 1996)
He practised magic from the age of 13. He had his Bachelors Degree in Physics from Pachayappas College, Chennai. He had his private pilot licence from the Madras Flying Club. He was working as a restaurant manager in five star hotel. The love towards the art of magic has made him resigned his job to become a professional magician.
He has toured with his magic shows in the Middle East, East Asian countries and through out India in top night clubs.
He has become the associate of Illusionist Bhagiyanath. He has reinvented Indian Rope Trick, club and stage version (portable). He was one of the top sleight of hand magicians in India during his period. He started writing magic articles for Lewis Ganson's Teach-in column.
His The Little Genie magic has become very famous and it has been sold in Europe and U.K. The trick booklet was translated into German and sold along with the Little Genie.
He has become very famous for his Indian Cups and Balls magic. He has written many articles and books on magic in English. He has passed away in the year April 1996 due to cancer in the duedenum.
