I only have one wish. My hopes are to leave a legacy behind for my grandchildren and great grandchildren and so on. Understanding people the way I do, I know my books won't be read by any of them until they sit down in a rocking chair one day and a thought will lead them to the shelf where they sit. Who knows, maybe one day cities will be fighting over the right to claim me as a home town boy. My characters are imaginary but the reader can identify all of them as someone they've met or are currently experiencing in their life what I write about. If my endeavors are successful and a reader wants to read another book I've written and that book makes them want to read my third and fourth book that's in publication now, then maybe I won't leave this world with paid mourners to stand next to me. But, I'm a pessimist, I know the world won't know anything about me unless a movie is made based on one of my books. I wish big, but I've learned to live my life day by day. I'm a writer, some may not agree, but I'm doing what I like to do.
